Alan Hutton - Genuinely believe we would have won the treble plus the UEFA Cup in 07/08 if he had stayed.
Gattuso - Would have more than held his own in a midfield battle against O'Neills Celtic side in 2000 and 2001, where we were lacking.

It's not too late. Incredibly he is still only 32 and playing for Ipswich!
3 goals in 7 since he signed in the summer. I have a large collection of butt-plugs? Lol
Seriously though, loved him and one of our most pleasently surprising signings over the years.

Ricksen and Lovenkrands.
In the right frame of mind Ricksen was an outstanding player, I reckon if he was still around when Walter came back we'd have seen a Hutton like transformation with him.
Also Lovenkrands doing the counter attacking stuff in a Walter team would have been very interesting.

Disagree here mate, he was on a rapid decline and totally out of control. The money was too good to turn down, for what he was at that stage.
Suppose you could be right though, just my opinion!.

He was a liability for the majority of the 97/98 season. Was pretty much done after injuring himself with a daft tackle in that ajax tournament the season before.

I was gutted when Cuellar came in so I'd go for him. He was excellent in his time with us but always felt he left too early. Big money on offer mind you.

Didn't share your enthusiasm for Weiss but I understand it. You are being a bit unfair though on him not being a legend. According to many on another thread one title makes you a legend, and Vlad won a title and a League Cup.

Jelavic for me. His first 8/10 months at Everton he was exceptional, ended up something like 12 goals in 14 games including goals v Man Utd, Liverpool and Spurs
Quickest player to reach 10 goals in their history I believe.

Got quite unlucky with Injuries after that initial spell which was a shame.
I remember him randomly pitching up at West Ham, scored once or twice!.
He inspired their cup winning team and they named a stand after him.
They must have liked him a wee bit.

Stein and Johnston. Cashing in on them so soon after the '72 CWC was a shock for me. Yes Bud had discipline problems but I loved that player.
Amo asked McLeish to bring him back, think Hamburg wanted the £3m they paid us or whatever and Murray said naw.

I was gutted when he, super ally and ray wilkins left and never wanted Boyd to leave first time around
I always thought barry Ferguson was sold rather than wanting to leave. Think Murray needed the money. If arteta had left that summer think Barry would’ve stayed
Not sure I was gutted but always thought we should have kept David Healy for the lower devisions
