Mols without the injury could have been one of our best ever. But taken to the extreme though, if longevity is not a factor then you would have to argue that Marco Negri perhaps showed the best form for a few months of any striker in our history but almost no one would have him in these best conversations (for good reason). So I don’t see how Mols, looking over his whole career with us, gets in this team.

Fair point re Negri and his goals. Taking the full package of level of performance including goals (excluding longevity) however I still take Mols every time. Just a pity about that injury or it wouldn’t even be a debate.

Cant argue with the team though if I could I would have had de boer as a option for right and put him there he should not of been in centre mid selection

For one season de Boer was sublime so if you are going to do it by capability then de Boer would have to be in it. I suppose he wasn't included because of consistency, though he was hampered by injury to an extent. de boer and Ferguson in that season, what a duo.
