Match Thread Rangers v Dundee - 20:15 Wednesday - Premier Sports

A comfortable win with a clean sheet and players who are given a chance to hopefully step up will do me.
 
Rest players/rotate the squad and a comfortable 3-0 win for us I think.Also got a sneaky feeling Motherwell will dump filth out tonight.
 
Not sure what to expect tonight.
Yillmaz and Tillman must play.
I'd like to see McCrorie in goal.
Matondo on the left, Sakala on the right.
Too early for Lowrie, I suspect.

Routine win, hopefully see some good football.

We are playing in the league cup against lower league opposition and will play half a team.

I’m really not sure any kind of statement result is possible. Everyone expects us to win, if we do it handsomely then it’s expected, if we struggle then it’s because we have played the reserves.

Just win and move onto our bread and butter of the league.

My five hunches

1. It’s McLaughlin in goal
2. Tav is at right back
3. Neither Mcann, Kamara or Matondo will start
4. Morelos only at CF
5. Scott Wright
 
I’d be quite hesitant to start Davies in this.

He was injured during the Liverpool game but didn’t want to come off so I doubt he made a 100% recovery before featuring again at the weekend. Give him a few days rest at least.

Sands and King at the back does give me the fear but that’s what we risk having as our two centre halves for a while if Davies aggravates his injury.

I’d be astonished/depressed if Gio starts Arfield, McGregor, Barisic or Tav.

Arfield is not physically capable of starting again tonight, would that be his 4th game in a row?

Sakala - who knows why he was dropped!?
Tillman - chance to build momentum for him
Kent - let's bet honest the other options have done next to nothing, like to see him play with Ridvan at LB

If what @midlandbear is saying is true this would be my guess. Unless Kamara is suddenly fit he could replace either Lundstram or Davis. Surely Arfield doesn't start again.
