RSC allocations for celtic game

Do the RSCs get retrospective points for purchase history in your scenario? Given RSCs have bought match to match tickets for years?

If so, they’ll have high points in the hypothetical scenario :D
No the clubs don’t get points they are banded at the beginning of the season by how many season ticket holders they have so some will take every home match tickets and some won’t but the catagories won’t change.

You’ve misunderstood my post mate. I know how bus categories work - top 15% A+ etc with no benchmark number set in stone to try and avoid buses gaming it

My response was in jest in relation to previous points buses would’ve accrued for getting tickets through the RSC sale for home games if the club just decided not to give buses tickets any more

The longer this goes on the more I’m thinking that some sort of back and forth dialogue is going on between the clubs.

If any tickets are to become available, I hope they are sold direct to MyGers members, which I'm sure your RSC members are.

Sadly, I think they'll go to hospitality.

this needs brought up at the agm, although i dont agree with the arrangement in place, im sure the people who petitioned the club about cutting the allocation didn’t think the club would use it to shaft the ordinary fan out of going with prices out of there range to be used for hospitality. All tickets should be split between the busses and people on mygers. If it was about looking after our own fans first none should be siphoned away from they 2.

The club have signed contracts with sponsors and partners which include ticket provision for Celtic games at Ibrox. Hopefully they haven't signed contracts to provide off-site hospitality.

A Tim in work saying he’s heard they’re taking an allocation would probably tie in with the delay here.

I email rangers supporters team and they said this,
I’m afraid I don’t have any further updates.
As soon as I hear about Celtic, I will send out a communication... its ridiculous I'm waiting on allocation to book travel from belfast
Got the same on monday

They didn’t say that at the time, here’s what they said.

A statement on Rangers' official club website read: 'Our supporters will always come first and as many of them as practically possible must be accommodated.

'That is why the Club has decided on an overall increase in the total number of season tickets available to our supporters to what will be a historical record.

'A further announcement on the final new ticket allocation will shortly be made available on the club's website.

'An unfortunate consequence of putting our supporters first is that this increased demand negatively impacts on the number of tickets which will be allocated to visiting teams.

'This means all visiting fans will now be situated in the corner between the Broomloan and Sandy Jardine Stands.

'We believe that this is the best possible outcome after considering the unprecedented levels of support from Rangers fans.'

i think they're just playing silly buggers and the tickets will be returned but very last minute ...... if they now accept an allocation it's almost like admitting their gripes were a sham from the start

I’m sure we’d have set a deadline and it’ll have passed by now. There has to be some sorta talks on going for this.

It’ll be European allocations from next season.

They will accept anything we give them

There’s not a chance in hell that they will want to play next week without any of their fans in the stadium

The sticking point could be Rangers insisting on similar allocation at the piggery after they cited safety concerns when they denied us any the last time

Ive heard nothing regarding the upcoming game but I’d assume any increase would be from next season.
How will the planned upgrades for a disabled section in the Broomloan be affected by giving them 2500 seats?

Not many options at all to move any season ticket holders who will be there once its eventually ready.

So we'll be getting 3000 tickets for the piggery. Don't think so.

No idea but I’m sure they’ll have planned for that with European allocations in mind.

It was on Ibrox noise about both clubs agreeing 2750 tickets for both games and that will include the split fixture if its at pedo dome but surley the borad isn't falling into their trap yet again but looks that way, i don't know if thats true, its a waiting game for now, just wish the club would let supporters clubs know also whats the deal with website selling tickets for £400 or £500 odd i seen it on that seatpick surley if they get tickets how are they getting them because they aren't a sponsor or something to do with the club probably just someone trying to make a few quid out of it, for old firm matches tickets should go till fans, end off!!

I am also told tonight celtic had meeting last night and they getting 2250 tickets
To suggest we give them this a week before the game is bullshit and is never going to happen

BF 5 & BR 5 would need to be emptied of our own supporters and this just isn’t going to happen as every othe part of the ground is sold out - not going to happen especially at short notice

That quite surprises me
I’m not surprised that it quite surprises you.

We have 42 paid up members with 16 season ticket holders. We work hard under difficult financial constraints to provide buses and tickets, so many non season ticket club members can get to Ibrox as often as possible.
As well as providing for non member season ticket holders to get transport too.

We have 5/6 members between 16-21 who have hardly missed a game since Covid who are all myGers members but can’t get a season ticket and who rely on us to scramble tickets from all available avenues.

I am quite open that we should have none of them at Ibrox, but I'm also a realist that in this day and age of commercialism, Sky will be putting pressure on the SPFL and both Cubs to come to some settlement to break this deadlock.
Was always going to be the case eventually as it dilutes the game, as much as some want to pretend it doesn’t. Also suspect sponsors/corporates pressuring both clubs to resolve it too
