I might be wrong but I have a vague memory of Rangers players helping to fund an election campaign of his in the early 90s.

There's probably folk in pollok still paying back debts for the poll tax, Tommy, the man of the people? this ball of shite got his paid off when he entered the trough known as the Scottish Parliament, I'm a staunch Unionist, so looking forward to this clown campaigning for independence, watch the polls turn in our favour.

I knew this girl in Cambuslang, years ago (70s into 80s).The biggest Rangers fan you could imagine. Always wearing a scarf - even during the week. Her da, a stauncher, used to take her to every home game.
I hadn't seen her in years, until I bumped into her on the Main St. Got chatting. Turns out she had subsequently married a wrong'un and was now a full-on tim.
Can't see a bloke ever doing that.

I know, "cool story, bro".

I always thought that the Rangers thing was just like his false politics, all this brothers and sisters pish and a good socialist must support the local team, a transparent fraud.

That is amazing and helps clear up a childhood memory I have that I had always assumed I had got wrong. I was about 11-12 so 1991-92.

We met Tommy Sheridan at Pollok swimming baths (this hasn’t started well this story given his history!) o_O because my step dad was doing work for Sheridan with one of the media drops for a campaign. They were just quickly at the door having a chat on what was to be done etc and when he spoke to me and my brother I was sure he said ‘good lads’ when we said we supported rangers. For years that’s confused me given he is such an outspoken filth fan. Turns out he is a flip flop glory hunter.....:))

The best thing about the video was to laugh and take the piss out of Sheridan's comments, with the added bonus content of the match snippets at the end.

Unless I'm missing something with the relevance of the bagpipes, I don't think adding them to drown out the sound of him making a plonker of himself was necessary.

I did. It's all about opinions. My opinion is that the bagpipes were unnecessary, too loud and spoiled the video. You obviously differ. I have no problem with that, you're entitled to your opinion, just like me.

True, I'd never say anything drowning out Sheridan was spoiling the video, each to their own though
