SPFL FIXTURES FOR 2019/20

THE SPFL TODAY REVEALED THE 2019/20 FIXTURE LISTS FOR THE LADBROKES PREMIERSHIP, CHAMPIONSHIP, LEAGUE 1 AND LEAGUE 2...

Champions Celtic will begin the defence of their trophy with a home match against St Johnstone on Saturday August 3 while last season’s runners-up Rangers travel to Kilmarnock the following day, live on Sky Sports.

Ross County mark their top-flight return by hosting Hamilton Academical while Aberdeen take on Heart of Midlothian at Pittodrie. Hibernian face St Mirren at Easter Road and Livingston welcome Motherwell to the Tony Macaroni Arena.

The first meeting of Rangers and Celtic is scheduled for Ibrox on the weekend of August 31 and the opening Edinburgh derby will be played at Easter Road on the weekend of September 21.

In the Ladbrokes Championship, Dundee United start at home to Inverness Caledonian Thistle and city rivals Dundee go to Dunfermline Athletic. The first Dundee derby is scheduled for Tannadice at the end of August.

Falkirk kick off their Ladbrokes League 1 campaign with a trip to Peterhead while SPFL newcomers Cove Rangers make their Ladbrokes League 2 bow against Edinburgh City at Balmoral Stadium.

Normally champions raise the flag at home on the first day so that means we are away? I could be wrong but it makes sense
