Most likely, as there’s a chance one or both of us will be playing a qualifier on the Thursday before it.Will first old firm game be moved to the sun
Looks like a pretty decent fixture list to me. Killie is hard away game to start the season but apart from that I’m quite happy with it.
Buzzing now
New pitchAbsolute stick on we at that abomination of a pitch first game
The SFA really know how to best market their product.I’ve really missed playing killie. Great stuff we get them in week one.
We had a terrible December last season. Victory v tims stopped it being a disaster. IIRC lost to Aberdeen, drew with Dundee and Hibs, scraped through 1 0 v Accies.December fixtures will decide if we win league.
The sheep at pitawwwdddrrriiieee on a Tuesday night in DecemberDecember the hardest month for us on paper with several tough away games
Looking at the mentally challengeds fixtures I don’t see a particularly tough away fixture month for them, their tough games seem to be spread out
Still plastic.New pitch
The only way folk would be happy is if we started with Hamilton, Livingston St Mirren and Motherwell
I’m happy with that with the exception of 2 midweek trips to Dingwall and pittodrie
December will be tough especially if we are still in Europe
What are the chances of that OF game on 29/12 being moved to the Sunday?
Aye , 3 hard away games in December mate . Let’s hope we’ve got a comfortable lead going into that month !December fixtures will decide if we win league.
As predicted on here.
That is a tough start to ensure we are under pressure from the get go.
Posted this in the other thread but posting here too for the hard of understanding who don’t get this every year.
Celtic won the league.
Celtic therefore get the first game at home to unveil the league flag.
Celtic play in Glasgow.
Rangers also play in Glasgow.
Rangers and Celtic aren’t allowed to play at home in the same weekend.
Rangers are therefore automatically away in the first weekend of the season.
As predicted on here.
That is a tough start to ensure we are under pressure from the get go.
What's winning the league got to do with it .Coz we didn't win the league.
Let's leave the conspiracies to the Roman Cathlolics lads.
They love being the victims.
No excuses for not winning those opening 8 games.
Fail to do that and we won't win it.
Our second half of the season is actually very good. 8 home games compared to 5 away games.Nice easy return from the winter break:
St Mirren (H)
Hearts (A)
Aberdeen (H)
Hibs (H)
Kilmarnock (A)
League Cup Semi-final and Finals weekend
St Johnstone November 2
Ross County December 7
Both home
Europa League Group Stage should we get there
Games moved on that basis
St Johnstone Away 21 Sept
Hamilton Home 5 Oct
Motherwell Home 26 Oct
Livingston Away 9th Nov
Hearts Home Home 30th Nov
Motherwell Away 14th Dec
What's winning the league got to do with it .
Are you serious? What's winning the league got to do with it .
Another 5 teams are at home as well as them. Not sure there's a precedent for the non-title winners to be home first.
Another 5 teams are at home as well as them. Are you serious?
How many of them play in Glasgow? Are you new to football mate?Another 5 teams are at home as well as them.
You wouldn't think you'd need to explain that on a Rangers forum mate, but.......
Bit suspect that fixture! I'll take it though, gives a chance to write a few wrongs from last season!I’ve really missed playing killie. Great stuff we get them in week one.
First OF game is 2 days after potential Europa League 2nd leg Play-Off match - so Sunday 1st Sep is a certainty.
