Talksport touting Edouard to Leicester in this window

I can’t understand Ajer being rated at £12million. Has anyone actually watched Celtic this season? Their defence is absolutely shocking and he is the guy at the heart of it!

Just on Wednesday he completely lost his man for Livis first goal. I certainly wouldn’t swap him for Goldson, Hellander or Balogun

As the window gets closer and closer to closing with very few clubs doing any business celtic have effectively placed a gumtree style add in today's Record for half their 1st team. :))

Getting desperate now....

Olivier Ntcham - £5m

The French midfielder has never really fulfilled his obvious potential in Glasgow and, following another season flitting in and out of the team, it's probably time he was moved on.

Ntcham can be unplayable but he just doesn't have those days often enough for Celtic to keep on persisting with him. That being said, his inconsistency hasn't stopped consistent interest being shown in his three-and-a-half years at the club.

He cost £4m from Manchester City in 2017 and if Celtic can make even a small profit then it could be considered a decent deal.

Kristoffer Ajer - £12m

AC Milan were tracking the Norwegian not so long ago and it was reported Celtic had valued him at £15m.

In a downsized market, few players will command the same fee as perhaps they would've pre-pandemic but, alongside Odsonne Edouard, Ajer is one of Celtic's top assets.

At 22, he's still a pup in centre-back terms but he has all the attributes to play at the top level.

Ajer would almost certainly represent better value for big clubs than plundering the so-called "big five" leagues for talent and there's money to be made if the time is right.

Ryan Christie - £8m

The seeds were sown on the midfielder's possible departure by his dad Charlie last summer, who talked up his son's Premier League ambitions in an eye-catching interview.

Burnley are known admirers and while it feels unlikely he will be valued in the same bracket as Ajer or Edouard, he won't be a bargain for any potential suitors either.

Christie splits opinion among the Celtic support, given his matchwinning abilities are often coupled with a tendency to frustrate.

It's for that reason his departure would arguably not sting quite as much as, say, Edouard while still bringing in crucial funds for the club.

Odsonne Edouard - £20m

The jewel in the Parkhead crown, the silky striker has shone a little less brightly this season.

Edouard has been beset by Covid-19 and resultant patchy form but he remains Celtic's classiest operator on his day. It's ensured he's no stranger to some of the Premier League's big hitters, while Juventus have also been credited with an interest these days by the Italian media.

The end of the 10 In A Row season has always felt like the natural moment for his farewell but that quite unfortunately framed under the assumption Celtic would actually win it.

That now looks highly unlikely but it's even less probable Edouard would be of the mind to hang around for another year to take back the title.

It'll be a painful one but if Celtic want to rebuild from the wreckage of this campaign then selling their best player may be a hit they'll need to take.

Jeremie Frimpong - £7m

The young right-back is probably the least likely of the five to leave in the summer but Southampton and other Premier League sides are all reportedly keeping an eye on his progress.

Frimpong's impact this season hasn't been quite as explosive as his debut campaign but he's still only 20 with bags and bags of potential.

His decision-making in the final third has been the source of fan frustation this term but it's an aspect that will, along with his many other attributes, improve with time.

There's a contradiction here, though, that, given his age, clubs surely won't put big money on the table while Celtic won't be too open to selling for anything less than big money.

Ffs man what planet were the cunts on :))

Nobody is paying that for Ntcham Christie Ajer or Eduard in the last years of their deals they will be lucky to get half of their evaluations for most of them and Frimpong is a poor footballer he's quick basically a winger that can't cross useless

These are celtics asking prices rather than a realistic value.

The only reason they got £20m for dembele was because he done well in the CL.

They can't just apply that pricing structure to diddies who have been pumped in the europa League by everyone including Sparta Prague Reserves.

What price on Rangers players that are pissing all over these multi million rated players

Absolute fantasy figures. Half them and you might have a chance of a sale or two. AC Milan ran a mile when celtic asked for £15 million, not far off a season later and they've had the goodwill to knock 20% off. Mental.

The have placed a 2nd story which is basically saying buyers can get Eduard for 10M less than we were previously asking for as they were clearly getting no offers and they cant go through this window without a sale of some sort.

Found his level when loaned out to Kilmarnock only a couple of seasons back

badly exposed in Europe, just like the French penalty taker who was basically a one season wonder who only scored in Scottish football

Just imagine his value if he had Morelos’s European goals on his CV

He really doesn’t suit the way Leicester play so I’d say this is a non starter.

unless it’s as a back up but I guess that’s what iheanacho is

This ^^^^^^

I don’t see him in any way fitting into the hit then on the break Leicester style

He scored one goal in the group stage season 17/18, three in 16/17 (one penalty). Not a go at you mate but the notion that he tore up the champions league is another example of history rewritten by that lot. He was absolutely bang average, although how much of that was down to how poor the team in general was is up for debate.

Anyway, when he scored his 4 goals in 12 group stage games we were told that his fee was all about what a player did in europe, funnily enough this coincided with Liam Boyce of Ross County beating him to top SPFL goalscorer. When Morelos had 6 goals in 6 group stage games we were told that didn't matter because his domestic form dropped after christmas. Turns out that scoring against Hamilton and St Johnstone is the true benchmark, or maybe that's just because that's all Edouard was capable of.

I think he scored twice against Man City. That alone would've put him on the radar of clubs due to the exposure of the EPL imo.

Olivier Ntcham - £5m

Yer having a laugh. Lazy and cant get a game in a Midfield that has been dire all season. Celtic will make a loss on him 100%

Kristoffer Ajer - £12m

At 22 he could still be worked on and has certainly potential. Has glaring problems at centre back or right back. Although it could be argued he is playing besides Donkeys in Bitton and Duffy. I expect him to leave for near the 8m mark.

Ryan Christie - £8m

I can see Celtic getting near this mark for Christie. A decent player who has obviously downed tools this season.

Odsonne Edouard - £20m

Last year maybe. He has damaged that figure massively. Not interested and way off form. Unless Rogers does his old club a favour. I expect to see him move on for near 15m

Jeremie Frimpong - £7m

Absolute nonsense. A wing back that cant defend, cant pass, cant cross and is a rabbit in front of headlights near goal. Great pace and uses it well but then again this is football not the 100m sprint. Sorry but that is a ridiculous valuation.

He did mate, they (city) were fairly weakened defensively on that occasion. To be fair you still have to put the ball in the back of the net but I doubt one good performance would make him a serious target, he did well in that game but his overall record is very mediocre. At the end of the day theres a reason that he went to Lyon for 19 million quid, no one down south wanted him. 19 million is a punt down there, the sort of fee that often is spent on a player that gets loaned out again for development or gets eased in through cup games.

What is this?

Ntcham has done absolutely nothing in his time at Celtic. Can't even get in this team. Crazy stuff.

Frimpong is a diddy. I was at his side of the pitch in the league cup final and people were raving about him after the game depsite being sent off. I thought as soon as I saw him that he was all arms flapping about and played safe every time he got the ball. Said the same after the new year game last year too
He just isn't very good. Not an I told you so as plenty had same viewpoint- just saying I couldn't believe the hype this guy was getting. Oh my days!

£7 million for frimpong ?

if you watch him , he does most of his work on the half way Line . Anytime he’s gets into the 18 yard box he fails to deliver a killer ball . Fast and that’s about it .

ajer had potential but is developing into a dumpling like Duffy

the rest of their team are massively overrated due to them facing inferior rangers team in the past

Big saving in wages for them, considering he's not contributing as much as he could.

I thought he didn't have much left on his contract to justify 20m.
