As much as I glad the board were responsible especially king for getting Gerrard I'm glad they have nothing to do with it now and it will be mostly down to Ross Wilson who our next manager will be
Anyone who had McInnes at the top of a list for anything should never make a decision again regarding football at Rangers.
Mcinnes certainly was not King's preferred candidateMcInnes was King's preferred candidate on the advice of Walter Smith at that time.

Walter thought Ally would be a good manager.
Sometimes Walter, love him as I do, is more loyal than thoughtful.
Who was?Mcinnes certainly was not King's preferred candidate
No, he was terrible.Ally may have been a good manager unfortunately for him he got the job at the wrong time
Walter was a good manager, but obviously couldn't spot a good manager.McInnes was King's preferred candidate on the advice of Walter Smith at that time.
Its as if someone was flicking through their contact list and stopped on DJust listening to the latest episode of heart and hand Gerrard Evolution of a revolution and they were saying the list of managers that Derek Mccinnes topped included Darren Ferguson and Derek Adams, how lucky are we?
I think king preferred that manager who was either Spanish or PortuguésWho was?
Vitor Perreira?.I think king preferred that manager who was either Spanish or Portugués
The name slips me
Read that too, I assumed Steve McLaren was one of them.Just reading Chris Jacks book ‘Going for 55’ and in it Dave King says the list of managers given to him included 4 ex EPL managers and 2 ex England ones.
Aye I thought McLaren & Woy?Read that too, I assumed Steve McLaren was one of them.
Not that they’ll get an influential say on Rangers anyway but plenty on here fancied him at the timeAnyone who had McInnes at the top of a list for anything should never make a decision again regarding football at Rangers.
Nah, not having this.Ally may have been a good manager unfortunately for him he got the job at the wrong time

I dont think so, hence he has never got another job and likely doesnt want or need one.Ally may have been a good manager unfortunately for him he got the job at the wrong time
Aye I thought McLaren & Woy?
Absolutely.Anyone who had McInnes at the top of a list for anything should never make a decision again regarding football at Rangers.
Id have been ok with Warnock at the time but I’m glad we got Gerrard and his team.It was between Warnock and Gerrard before Gerrard was, thankfully, appointed.
What do you mean by 'may have been'?.Ally may have been a good manager unfortunately for him he got the job at the wrong time.
Didn't cut it before administration so I don't see the force of your point. We'll never know what he mighta been like under normal circumstances. Shoulda been good, working under Walter and all, and nobody has ever had to work under those conditions, ever. We'll never know & it's a moot point, just don't slag him off. Without Ally primarily, plus Sandy, Bomber, the Sons of Struth and others, there woulda been no Rangers for the three bears to save.
Stevie G was the perfect appointment after a coupla false starts. Compare and contrast, where we were, where we'd been & where we are. Let's go.

I was thinking Kevin KeeganRead that too, I assumed Steve McLaren was one of them.
He may well have been in normal circumstances. Or at least may well have got away with looking like he was for a few years.Walter thought Ally would be a good manager.
