I agree with the OP ...and it gets results for them.

A lot of people on here don't see the value in Rangers building bridges and making a concerted, corporate reputation building effort. Instead they want us to fire out incendiary statements every five minutes even though they only ever draw derision (no matter how justified the content may be) but we need - absolutely MUST - get smarter about this and start playing the game.

The way the club has been treated in recent years is akin to the bullied kid at school that everyone is allowed to pile in on. So dehumanised that even moderately disinterested people are angry when we try to defend ourselves. That's what 2016 Cup Final disgrace was about, that's what the home game against Hibs was about (the list goes on).

The only way to address this is by the club employing the level of resources that Celtic do in managing their reputation. And it will take time. And they probably shouldn't react every time FF wants a statement (thankfully we appear to be learning that one).

I hate Celtic's PR machine with a passion ... primarily because I'm a wee bit jealous of it.
