This is not the fault of Dallas

This was the fault of Kent, Kamara and the other bottlers. Let's get real.

Told myself I wouldn’t go on the Bear Pit tonight and here I am. Honestly, we look lacking in ideas but that was easily the worst refereeing performance I have witnessed in a very long time and you’re absolutely delusional and/or haven’t been paying attention to every other time we play against Aberdeen if you don’t see how the ref isn’t a huge influence especially with the “tactics” they employ, they are allowed multiple fouls before a card and they use this explicitly.

Yes we were poor. The poets were poor against Ross County, we were poor today. One game finished 0-0, one game finished 3-0. That's not down to any players, but the man in the middle. Does anyone actually believe they have better players than Rangers? Does anyone actually believe their manager is better than ours?

They couldnt "do a job" on Aberdeen when our superior team was being hacked down and booted/fouled and the Ref was doing sod all about it!

Keep blaming the ref mate we weren't good enough today with or without his help

Keep having your eyes closed to the fact we are being reffed differently and if Dallas today has did his job fairly then Cosgrove and Logan should have walked .

And if we had turned up and created and took chances we would of won the game

Our players were being booted constantly and hacked down but having your eyes shut, you must have missed that!
You are missing the point we have been rotten since the winter break. But let's blame the referee, easy option!

Must be the refs fault we have been pish since the turn of the year, get you now!

You clearly have had trouble reading this whole thread! Nobody has said we didnt play poor today Now, have you understood that bit? Lets continue ...

Now, Aberdeen players were being allowed to break down our play and movement via constantly hacking down and booting our players, they should have been booked for these constant bad fouls on our players but, they weren't and Cosgrove and Logan in particular were allowed foul after foul thus breaking up our movement and play everytime we got near their goal ..They should have both walked

The Ref clearly allowed them to do what they wanted whilst booking Goldson for daring to ask him how many fouls Cosgrove would be allowed to make before he was booked!

Alfie would have walked had he made the same bad fouls Cosgrove did today

We are being reffed differently!

Can't it be a combination of the two?

They are not mutually exclusive positions, surely?
Exactly, honestly some of our support like our board members just don’t get it whatsoever, of course we were shyte but when a team like Aberdeen come to us there 1 tactic is to foul as much as you can possibly get away with, Dallas obliged..
Most of their back 4 should have being booked today, together with the consistent fouling of Cosgrove and Ojo, no Dallas just wasn’t having it and his booking of Goldson for complaining about the lump of wood Cosgrove’s persistent fouling just summed up the ineptitude of this referee.
Again something as a club we continually fail to address, we’re such a nice, cuddly club who wouldn’t dare say bad things about shyte officials.

What is it you don’t get about the fecking hammer throwers in this league and the officals who simply refuse to apply the rules and deny any sort of football to be played, the point isn’t we were pish poor today, it’s about a team fouling their way through a football match and being allowed to do so by a referee who once again refused to apply the rules correctly to our opposition.
It’s not really that difficult to understand but it clearly is for you.

Until the refs start treating every club the same then foobtball in this country will always be rubbish.
Poorer teams get plenty leeway when it comes to persistent fouling,it’s a legitimate tactic in the spl when playing Rangers .
It’s hard to imagine Scotland used to have a huge number of skilful players when you look at the cart horses most teams are full of

Are we playing badly just now ? Yes we are
Are referees refereeing us differently to other teams ? Yes they are
Are these mutually exclusive to each other ? No.
Let’s take the opinion that if we take our chances we don’t need to worry about the ref. That’s all fine and good if we are allowed to attack their goal from close range but what happens if our players get continuously clobbered 25-30 yards out and the referee continues to ignore booking the culprits ? If the ref books them , like he should , then their game plan HAS to change or they start losing players. But if he ignores them then we are stopped illegally way out from goal meaning we don’t get these ‘chances’. It’s all the more frustrating when the referee runs up the other end of the park and starts yellow carding our defenders for the same tackles. It’s subtle but the more refs do it the more obvious it becomes. But , and it’s a HUGE but , as long as our board do hee haw about it and break promises of follow up statements then we’ll suffer this from now till doomsday.

Let’s put it this way.. Clancy was an absolute monstrosity at parkhead and we still pumped them and won the game. Today was no ones fault but our own.

We didn’t ‘pump’ them , we won 2-1 and had they scored from that excuse of a penalty then we’d be looking at 2-2. We won despite his best efforts. Again , had he booked the players he should have then we’d be up against 8 or 9 of them , then we would have ‘pumped’ them

We played them off the park the full game is my point. If we play the way we know we can then the referee shouldn’t matter mate.

Correct , but just look at how a referee can influence a game by not booking players when he should have. Yes , we played them off the park but due to Clancy that game could’ve went in another direction. As I said in my post earlier, it’s subtle, very subtle but it’s getting obvious to us watching it week in week out.

This whole scenario is the fault of “Sir” David Murray - the worst thing to happen to our Club outwith death/injury.

An utter, utter charlatan

Ref was appalling but our lack of creativity and ability to break down a mediocre but stubborn team did for us today.
I'm inclined to agree with this.
Some of our players really need to start 'getting it' what the overall 'end game' means to us and the Club.

so Rangers have to work harder than every other team in the league due to terrible / corrupt referees? How is that fair in any way?

Guy that sits behind me is constant either on the ref or Tav, its boring as %^*&! Ironic with Tav out the team he's not mentioned how big a miss he is!

Completely agree. The sooner we dump this moral high ground, magnanimous thing that a lot of the fanbase seem to have, the better.

Until the Club do something about this, we will continue to be shafted.

Club should be publicly questioning refs any time there's inconsistency or bias. Win, draw or lose.

Assuming every thing else being equal, a biased ref is the biggest way to affect games (certainly way more than how players handle their tax affairs).

We played at a level that it didnt matter on the 29th December. But even those 3 points came with them missing a penalty, Alfie taking a ban and 3 or 4 celtic players avoiding red cards.

Our levels have dropped and the fouls to cards / readiness to book our players factors is clearly on our players and management teams minds.

Of course it has an affect.

We could’ve played all day and not scored - we were rotten. That doesn’t excuse the referees performance.

If he does his job properly Aberdeen players can’t make the challenges they were allowed to make all game and maybe we would’ve had more time and space to create better chances.
