Match Thread Turkey v Italy

Lovely jubbly Italy, so far so good. Some of the forward passing from Italy is excellent.

Jorginho is top, top drawer. Big Berardi is a cracking player as well.

Watching in SoCal, on Univision. Spanish commentator. After the obligatory Gooooooaaaaaalllllll, he started singing "Ciro Immobile" (as the Italian fans do). Livelier than the USA commentators, that's for sure.

Can't believe I've read "Italy are bang average" on this thread. How could you watch this game and say this. This isn't mugs they're playing either and they've made them look rather pathetic. A well balanced masterclass performance all over the press, a tremendous attitude and a wonderful high press. Considering veratti etc are out aswell. Italy are a very good side and I'm a confident man after watching this performance.

Italy have been a lot better this half, perfect example of being patient and grinding the opposition down.

Turkey have some young good players but getting a bit of a schooling. The tallies have let them get going at all. Quite impressive.

Italy seem to be coming through impressive and unscathed.

Was potentially very tricky playing the opener at home against a team playing 10 at the back.
