I was at Ireland v Mexico and Holland v Belgium in Orlando.

We had an office in Guadalajara and one of the finance guys was in town. He was raging that he was going to miss the game until I offered the bosses I'd take him to lunch.

Sports bar a few miles from the office and it was me, him and the local Mexican contingent. Needless to say, we'd to stop for a wee mouth wash chaser on the way back to the office.

Good times.

Was in Greece with my mate and his family. Watched the final got pished and the guy from the bar called me MrHeiniken for the next week. I was only 17 but it was a riot!

Not a great World Cup tho as I remember them?

Had the USA away top as a 10 year old so wanted them to win.

Nigeria, Sweden, Romania and Bulgaria stand out as the teams I really enjoyed watching. Bulgaria with the guy with the baldy napper (letchkov I think) putting Germany out and Daniel Amokatchi running wild.
