The SPFL is a joke, and the split of the top tier after 33 games is a farce, where no one ever seems to be happy, but are there examples of any other leagues with a worse set-up?
My vote is for the Belgian Pro League; 16 teams play each other for a total of 30 games in the regular season. The top 6 then enter a championship round, whereby they play each other twice (home and away), starting the group with half the points earned during the course of the regular season. This is before you consider playoff group 2, which contains the teams finishing 7th - 15th, plus three teams from the second division, entering into a playoff for a Europa League place:

Any advances on that?
