They knew the issue long ago did they not? Its more about sorting it out. What's the latest on this fellow, the club must know what the problem is by now.
Ahahahah what are you talking about?? How could you have predicted this happening to him back in January? Was a baffling signing at the time along with Simpson.
It wasn’t at all baffling. We picked up a young player out of contract down south who had demonstrated potential. Signing young players on pre-contract agreements from England is a core pillar of our transfer strategy so how on earth is it baffling? Was a baffling signing at the time along with Simpson.
you would think in the future more rigorous testing in medicals will be the normWas this issue not something that couldve been caught at the medical?
A project punt but we knew that anyway hopefully he is over his health issues though.I doubt he will ever play for Rangers
MidfieldWhat position does he play ?
It is alreadyyou would think in the future more rigorous testing in medicals will be the norm
midfield a think but never featured much in his last loan spellWhat position does he play ?
The heart issue was found the pre-season he signed and it was said at the time he would be out for the foreseeable futureAhahahah what are you talking about?? How could you have predicted this happening to him back in January?
Ofoborh who couldn’t force his way into a shit Bournemouth team, seriously? It wasn’t at all baffling. We picked up a young player out of contract down south who had demonstrated potential. 30 first team appearances and could get a game for wycombeOfoborh who couldn’t force his way into a shit Bournemouth team, seriously?
Depends how good the EPL/Top of EFL sports medicine scheme isHow was never picked up in his medical before signing.
He could barely get a game for Wycombe never mind Bournemouth, it was indeed a bizarre signing.Ofoborh who couldn’t force his way into a shit Bournemouth team, seriously?
Was this issue not something that couldve been caught at the medical?
People acting as if he’d be a starter every week for usHe could barely get a game for Wycombe never mind Bournemouth, it was indeed a bizarre signing.
These things happen. It may not have been a congenital condition & something that developed shortly after signing for us. I'd assume Inter & the Danish national team have pretty much state of the art medical facilities & his heart defect hadn't shown itself prior to his cardiac arrest. How was never picked up in his medical before signing.
File under Simpson, Polster, Barker et al.Ahahahah what are you talking about?? How could you have predicted this happening to him back in January?
….Goldson couldn’t get in to an average Brighton team. He turned out pretty well. I’d keep an open mind.Ofoborh who couldn’t force his way into a shit Bournemouth team, seriously?
blame the fans for signing injury prone players and a guy with a major heart issueHere come all the self taught Doctors from FF
This is the most sensible answer on this threadThese things happen. It may not have been a congenital condition & something that developed shortly after signing for us. I'd assume Inter & the Danish national team have pretty much state of the art medical facilities & his heart defect hadn't shown itself prior to his cardiac arrest.
Totally different circumstances.….Goldson couldn’t get in to an average Brighton team. He turned out pretty well. I’d keep an open mind.
Knowing what the problem is and fixing the problem are two completely different things. What's the latest on this fellow, the club must know what the problem is by now.
Patterson couldn’t get a game for us yet he is our record sale… Not being able to force one’s way into a team is hardly a measure of their suitability for us.30 first team appearances and could get a game for wycombe
who thought that was a good idea even before the medical
Take it you didn’t watch the euros?

Maybe have a read of Ross Wilson’s words after clinching the player on a pre-contract and you’d get an idea why the club thought he fits the transfer strategy:Canny see how that fits our transfer strategy
You're fighting a losing battle there mate.Patterson couldn’t get a game for us yet he is our record sale… Not being able to force one’s way into a team is hardly a measure of their suitability for us.
And time and time again on FF the “couldn’t get a game for Wycombe” accusation is levelled at this player - he was injured. He is as a key player for them when available.
I don’t intend to get embroiled into an argument about the player’s ability or whatever. I just made the point that this signing was not at all baffling and fits the mould in terms of our acquisitions from England. We’ll continue to make these type of signings and it’s a sensible strategy since the cross-border compensation rules work in our favour.
The lesson learned from the saga is obviously that our medical team will scrutinise heart issues a little more closely now during medical examinations which can only be a good thing for the club and players.
Does our transfer strategy somehow include the amount of games they have played?Canny see how that fits our transfer strategy
He signed on a pre contract in January 2021, he was diagnosed in summer 2021The heart issue was found the pre-season he signed and it was said at the time he would be out for the foreseeable future
Hasn’t even played yet, how can you criticise the club for signing a supposed “sub-average” player when we’ve not even seen what he can do?File under Simpson, Polster, Barker et al.
Our ongoing want to spunk wages on sub average players.
Does our transfer strategy somehow include the amount of games they have played?
Maybe have a read of Ross Wilson’s words after clinching the player on a pre-contract and you’d get an idea why the club thought he fits the transfer strategy:
“We look forward to welcoming Nnamdi to our group in the summer. We are extremely impressed by his qualities and he is a player that has real progression in him.”
Quite simply the recruitment team identified a player from down south who they felt would be a good prospect to add to the squad and because of a very unfortunate and serious medical issue we haven’t had a chance to see him.
It’s pretty obvious to any Rangers supporter with a sensible outlook why we signed this player. Astonishes me that people are debating this.
By all means question the medical examinations if you are suitably qualified but the footballing justification for the signing is blatantly clear.
