He’s probably too embarrassed so just got in his car covering his face with a copy of Bunty. Not much of a spokesman is he? A disgraceful club who harboured pedophiles. It certainly has a lot of questions to answer.

Tommy Burns was a devout RC who showed compassion. I remember him talking about a 14 year old knocked down and killed on Christmas Eve in Giffnock. He helped that family at a tragic time. Religion or football preference was irrelevant.
this boy was a cousin of my ex sister in law. what was the story again?
The minute they do say anything they’re fecked as they can’t tell lies about it as they will get found out and if they do admit knowing then the roof falls in on them. They can comment on Floodlights, the length of Grass on other peoples pitches, Sporting Integrity, Other teams players, anything other than their own dirty secret
He also was great friends with Torbett and if memory serves me correctly he tried to get him employed at Celtic when the Bunnet was in charge only to be told to %^*& off. He ran to tell the world Cairney was innocent and had the full backing of all at celtic while he was celtic manager and the bunnet stated the exact opposite. He also was great friends with Torbett and if memory serves me correctly he tried to get him employed at Celtic when the Bunnet was in charge only to be told to %^*& off. It is disturbing that the Scottish Parliament and even the SFA / SPFL won't go near this. There should be a full independent public inquiry ordered by Holyrood not only into the cover-up by Celtc FC but also the behaviour of the police. There has been negligence on a colossal scale.
Thats just not true, hes going for them full on, digging ex players and staff up outside the pedodome
There couldn’t have been one person that didn’t know because this guy was a whistle blower in the early 90s but it was widely known from the late 60s but obviously more would have known after Gerry McSherrys action. That would be most people running it, just think how many more must have been aware of it throughout Celtic and acted to cover it up. Literally scores, everyone at their club.
This is the thing that really needs addressed.
It is now clear that Police Scotland were given a list of 14 names of suspected paedophiles operating at Celtic FC and Celtic BC back in the early 90's and nobody was convicted at that time.
I think we now need a thorough review of their "investigation" at the time and need to thoroughly revisit the interviewing of key officials in Celtic FC regarding their knowledge of these offences and regarding their actions not taken at the time.
It is an absolute disgrace, and a national scandal, that our SNP Government refuse to instigate a full public inquiry into these terrible events. What is it they don't want the public to know about these events? Why are they refusing to instruct such an Inquiry? It is genuinely baffling as well as inexcusable

The thing is there’s not enough of them that want this investigated they would rather it just went away, they know how hard they pushed to kill us off kept kick us while we were down and thats how theyre blatantly just ignoring this because the repercussions of this could see there angel of a club in a not to similar position. That name rings a bell, was he a phone-in regular back in the day?
The interview says what any reasonable person is thinking about this whole thing. There was clearly a cover-up and it needs looked into.
thats the one, so thats Cullen, Torbet, Crainey, McAfferty links to Paedophile priests definitely looks like there was a ring in operationCullen
There’s a banner there for 29th last two lines maybe adding adding at the topYou don’t choose to be a victim.
You can choose to be a bystander.
For those looking in -
Let those words bounce around your head for a while, if you have children of your own and got knowledge that your kid was abused but someone ignored to act on the knowledge of the abuse, not only the criminal committing the abuse is deserving punishment but those that chose to be a bystander require punishment.
The numbers of victims grew because the numbers of bystanders grew.

This is isolation could be perhaps something of a coincidence, however given the long running list of related events one doesn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to put things together. He was found murdered, the police tried to frame it strangely and forcefully on his brother which was easily proven wrong, then another paedo was convicted of the murder who has always claimed innocent.
One of the Celtic paedos was initially a suspect and had called the house the very same night.
The most alarming thing about this very alarming case was the perceived hurry of the police to tie someone else down as the perpetrator.
Disgusting community of society!!You can bet that Celtic are taking advice on how to handle this situation from the Catholic Church. Both of them are up to their eyeballs in child abuse and the cover up and it’s only a matter of time before it catches up with them now.
To be fair to McSherry, this is a bold stance to make to a national newspaper (I use "newspaper" in it's broadest possible sense here). He's going to be ostracised by members of his own support now and will likely go down as some sort of "Hun" collaborator. I can remember some of his rantings on Snyde in my younger years and the belly laughs they gave you (I thinks he was responsible for an argument about McStay being a better all round player that Matthaus on one of the phone ins). But for all they call him a bampot, if this is true, he's the only one with any ounce of courage to call it out, recently at least.
Just read the court report from the mcsherry case, I've read it wrong. Apologies but no need for your attitude

Strachan. You forgot King. It’s Cullen, Cairney, King, McAfferty, Torbett and 1 other (who’s name evades me at present).
"A spokesman for Celtic FC declined to comment."
That should be their new slogan to put on their seat covering tarps.
Strachan.

Why? There is very little political desire for this to happen and the media certainly aren't going to put pressure on them or the authorities to do anything. I'll say it again; absolutely nothing will come of this. They might be shamed into releasing another statement or throwing some of the victims a few quid but anyone believing they will be properly punished or sanctioned will be disappointed.I think it's just about game over for the bheasts..
He was arrested for going after torbett in the 90s,so maybe the guy was on to something along with birt.Phone in and almost daily appearance in the Daily Record Hotline, as well as all the letters pages of the newspapers. Heard him quite recently on another phone-in (Non-football) - he's one of these guys who seems to have nothing to do but contact the media.
I would treat anything he says with a pinch of salt.
It’s been that way for decades mate"A spokesman for Celtic FC declined to comment"
Just shows you the mindset in Scotland. Would rather it went away rather than exposing it.Mentioned this on another thread but I sent a tweet to Tom English and others about why we are not hearing anything in the media about a possible paedophile ring at The Stade de Shame. He replied that it was his station that broke the story.
I then said " It wasn't your station that broke the story as " It was a open secret ( Billy McNeils words ) over 40 years ago
His reply was " stop trying to point score and go away "
That is what Helene Gray and others fighting for justice is up against
Yep, I am totally with you on the ‘Penn State Justice for Celtic FC.’How about Penn State Justice for Celtic FC. We need to start pushing for this.
To think they went after us for an Admin error and being victims of fraud.
The SNP are now a socialist party, that is all you need to know. They are the same as sinn fein, hate the union, hate the English, hate the monarchy, hate any form of establishment and always divide and conquer, using anyone who listen to their nonsense. Their favourite divisions are Rich and poor, skin colour, Race, religion, gender, conservative and liberal. They are many examples overseas or close to home. Alex Salmond, Gerry Adams, Nicola Sturgeon, John Reid, Jeremy corbyn etc. You've been paying attention George and your perception and deduction skills are A ok!
I concur wholeheartedly with everything that you say in reply. But I'm a wee bit flummoxed by the Protestant SNP telling the RC church that RC's could have absolute power within the party and would be totally protected though. Now, that's not to say that this has not what has actually came to pass over time due to politicking and horse-trading, but I find it hard to believe that a party with traditional links to presbyterianism would openly invite the RC church to take it over in return for an increased chance of gaining power. However, if you know that to be a fact, then I'll listen and take it on board. And before anyone accuses me of favouring the SNP, I most definitely don't.
Fundamentally though, you are spot on. There are tentacles leading somewhere in all of this.
If only there was a polite way to tell someone to feck off..Is it not your attitude that is the problem..read before type
