I'm sure he only played a handful of games for them before doing his knee?
Aye he got a bad one.

Shocking...Nicola Amoruso. Martin O'Neill was a big fan of his.
Off injured after just 6 minutes of the final.Claudio Gentile
My favourite from World Cup '82.
Utterly mental.

You are right. I am getting muddled up.Claudio Gentile played the complete game.
The person that got subbed early on was Francesco Graziani.
Strange fact Graziani was replaced by Alessandro Altobelli, who then scored and then was then replaced by Franco Causio.
So Altobelli was a sub came on, scored and then was subbed himself, I don't think this has happened before or since in a World Cup Final?
Is he possibly the greatest right back in history?
Looked mental and a phenomenal football player.Could be wrong but did Porrini replace him at Juventus?
Always thought he looked like a cross between Hateley and Bruce LeeDaniel Fonseca at Roma scored some sublime goals, seemed to be world class overhead kicks every week on C4
Chiesas boy is going to be some player on fire with Fiorentina just nowAlways remember Battistuta for Fiorentina, Signori was class too. Enrico Chiesa, Vincenzo Montella. Serie A used to be superb back in the channel 4 days.
Enzo Francescoli. Was once voted greatest Uruguayan player in history which isn't bad considering they won the World Cup twice.
Alessandro Melli.Goalscoring machine at a time when we could realistically buy Italian strikers.Sadly we never got him.

Dont think hes quite lived up to the hype was always going to be hard massive boots to fillDo you know how Maldini's boy is getting on? Heard he was a great player and was expected to take his dads shirt number but I've not heard of him in a while.
You used to choose them in champ man ehLoved the inter milan team early 2000's, adriano, recoba, obafemi martins, julio cruz, kallon. Decent attackers to choose from.
You must've been mindfucked when he signed for DundeeFarbizio Ravenelli. The silver fox himself.
I remember being gobsmacked when Middlesbrough managed to sign him. Top class at Juve where I seem to remember him in a ‘supersub’ role.
Used to love Football Italia, though I remember a lot of the games being dull war of attrition affairs with team cancelling each other out.
Zvonimir Boban another class act from that era.
Adriano at Inter was a beast in his prime, seems to had a severe fall from grace.
