Trying to book flights to Cologne but all of them involve a transfer. Anyone been able to get direct flights?

Cologne is about 40 km from Leverkusen, Düsseldorf is 60 km.

if you get tickets in the home end you will be able to wear colours, just don't act the tosser and you will be fine.

Not without mega cost I don’t think or going via Milan which I think could be dodgy. My mate I’m going with is best man at a wedding on the Saturday and wanted an early Friday flight home so I just left it to him

Train on Wed 18th at 18:38 for 19 euros from Amsterdam Centraal to Cologne takes 2hr 40. Also stops at Duss.

Nah Wolfsburg, Leverkusen and Frankfurt all far enough away for it not to matter

Nah, some Saturdays, Lev, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Lower League Clubs in the area all play. Frankfurt and Wolfsburg nowhere near.

We're direct from Glasgow to Frankfurt with Lufthansa Wednesday afternoon, then fast train from the airport goes to Cologne and Leverkusen (approximately 55 minutes).

Return back Friday afternoon same route.

£160 all in.

Waiting on flight confirmation just now but tried to book Edinburgh to Dusseldorf via Manchester on the Thursday morning and back direct to Edinburgh on the Friday evening. Got a hotel reserved in Dusseldorf. From what I can work out, will take about 45 mins on train to get from Dusseldorf to Leverkusen where the train station is only 6 mins from the ground.

You can fly direct to Cologne from Bristol (~£40 return). There are regular flights between Bristol and Glasgow (~£100 return).
