I see Ian Blair has put his name to this. I thought he had retired?
Even if sky went ok the police would knock back a night old firmFk it. Rangers should pay Sky a £100k to move the game for shi'ts and giggles
Confirms again who is running the game in Scotland.
I hope this bites them in the arse that would be a biggest meltdown since yesterday.Wait a minute, so they’ve just decided to book a jolly to Dubai in January whilst the Government is advising against travel unless essential?
So according to radio Scotland if a dispute cannot be agreed they favour the home side.
When on earth are they going to play these 3 games they are/will be behind us. They are in Dubai to the Hibs game and the Hibs game being on a Monday makes it hard to play a midweek game that week. You'd think they would want them out the way quick to catch up their games to us.
We all said it but none of these arseholes listened.
Maybe in future they’ll grow a pair mate.
sure he leaves the SPFL next monthI see Ian Blair has put his name to this. I thought he had retired?
The row over Hibernian's rescheduled January fixture at Celtic has continued after the Glasgow club fired back at Easter Road chief executive Leeann Dempster's claims the Premiership clash was moved without their consent.
The Parkhead side say they "followed the proper SPFL processes" to request a change to the fixture date so the squad can jet off for a training camp during the free week. Dempster was left "fizzing" after calling out league bosses on social media when it emerged the Hibees had initially turned down a Celtic proposal to switch the game from 3pm on Saturday, January 9 to Monday, January 11.
But the league's director of operations Iain Blair insisted policy was to "favour the home team" in cases where fixtures are asked to be changed. It was initially understood that Celtic had requested kick off be pushed back by 52 hours to allow players time to recover after a busy festive fixture schedule.
But the club now say it is so under fire manager Neil Lennon can take his players away for a few days of warm weather training after their Old Firm derby with Rangers at Ibrox. Celtic have utilised the winter break to book training trips to Dubai for the last four years, basing themselves at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex.
In a statement, the Parkhead club said: "Celtic can confirm that its match against Hibernian scheduled for the New Year has been moved to Monday 11th January 2021 with a 19:45hrs kick-off The club, through the proper SPFL process has made this request with a view to arranging a winter training camp during this particular week, something which has proven hugely beneficial to the squad in recent seasons”.
Dempster, who announced she was stepping down from her role at Easter Road last week, accused the SPFL of ignoring the Easter Road side's rebuttal to change the date and time of the game after apologising to Hibs' fans, players and staff for the new Monday evening kick off.
She wrote: "Apologies to our supporters and our head coach.
"This was done without my knowledge - we said no to the original request from Celtic because the request didn’t work for our club. The SPFL appears to have agreed this without a call to the decision makers at our club." Dempster followed up with: "We are fizzing about this -@spfl know I am leaving soon (ish) but they still have my mobile number so a call should have been easy to do - or @gmathie82 or even to our Chairman. Not good enough. Move to Monday without asking us?"
But in a statement, SPFL fixture chief Blair said: "Discussions between Celtic FC and Hibernian FC had taken place about the Celtic v Hibernian league match originally scheduled for Saturday January 9th.
"Celtic wished to move the fixture from its scheduled time, to another slot that weekend. When the two clubs could not reach agreement, I received a request from Celtic FC to move their home match against Hibernian FC to Monday January 11th. I took the request to the SPFL board, noting that Hibernian FC objected to the move. However, as the proposed date change fell within the same Friday - Monday fixture slot, and was made by the home club, I informed the SPFL board that my intention was to agree to the request.
"As has been the case for the past 22 years, SPFL policy, where two clubs do not agree about a fixture change and in the absence of any other relevant factor, is to favour the home club. Both Celtic FC and Hibernian FC were advised of the change more than an hour before the decision was made public, with no adverse comment being received from Hibernian FC ahead of publication.”
SKYSo according to radio Scotland if a dispute cannot be agreed they favour the home side.
Purely for the shithousery.... Please oh please Rangers request moving the game v them out from the 2nd to the 4th.
Spfl cannot refuse this and it fucks up their travel plans
Hibs knew nothing about it...They were informed the date had been changed , no consideration or consultation.....who's really running the show? Think we all know...but hopefully for not too much longerAre them or hibs not just trying to give their players a break of some sort after Xmas period of games?
Hardly the biggest issue ever.
Can't see why. No fans there and pubs will be shut.Even if sky went ok the police would knock back a night old firm
It’s so that they can go for a weeks hot weather training now we all know who it is that runs Scottish football how can they get that with three games outstanding to play are they ho[ing fans get in so they can get more money in it’s a joke just how Courtney are it’s time we got them all out the press should be reporting this big timeRules out the following midweek for one of their games in hand
Following a club request, January's Scottish Premiership between Celtic and Hibernian has been rescheduled
The game at Celtic Park was due to be played on Saturday January 9 but will now take place two days later:
Monday January 11, 2021
Scottish Premiership
Celtic v Hibernian
Kick-off 7.45pm
Ian blair is one of them and does as he is told by liewell. He is a horrible chunt and just one of many in the spfl politburo controlled by celtic.I see Ian Blair has put his name to this. I thought he had retired?
Sounds like he made the rule upYou’d never guess which club Iain Blair supports.
His justification for agreeing to Celtic’s request - or should that be demand - is lame.
Is he really saying that a club can gain an advantage by effectively unilaterally moving a fixture even if that seriously disadvantages an opponent simply because it’s a ‘home’ match?
That sounds like complete rubbish.
It’s something Rangers should comment on publicly if only to reinforce the perception that the SPFL serves the interests of one club.Sounds like he made the rule up
where is this in the rules
More corruption in plain sight
hibs should be asking for where this is in the rules
Does Blair have the power to do this in his own
if not resignations who approved this?
Doncaster? Again resignations
if the board voted where are the minutes who voted?
Did lie well vote? Conflict of interest again resignations
push these bastards against the rule book
@rangeral have the TV games for this round of fixtures been selected? Our game against Aberdeen will be selected but as its FA cup weekend they often show 2 Scottish Games. Could Sky change this to the Sunday?
Celtic get permission from themselves to move a game without their opponent’s consent. Sounds about right. Shifty was too busy to put his name to the ratification so Blair got thrust into the limelight. So if you're a home team, you can just move games unilaterally?
No upto 2nd January so far
Yes they could move it to the Sunday
Nothing to stop them showing this game as well although it messes any chance of a double header up when they have done in the past when the FA Cup is onCheers, there's a high chance Sky show 2 fixtures that weekend and none of the others seem that appealing
A spokesperson for Celtic said: “ Celtic can confirm that its match against Hibernianscheduled for the New Year has been moved to Monday 11th January 2021 with a 19:45hrs kick-off”.

Looks like Dubai rumours were true
Surely the so called free week should be used to catch up with games in hand.A spokesperson for Celtic said: “ Celtic can confirm that its match against Hibernianscheduled for the New Year has been moved to Monday 11th January 2021 with a 19:45hrs kick-off”.

Saw that after I posted.Hibs knew nothing about it...They were informed the date had been changed , no consideration or consultation.....who's really running the show? Think we all know...but hopefully for not too much longer
