Famous Rangers fans.

Van Morrison, Jack Bruce, Clive Anderson Kenneth Branagh.

I always thought Jack Bruce was a fan of the bheasts -
The 1970 bbc omnibus programme on him shows a clip with him at the piggery -
Maybe he converted later ?
I think there was an exchange of views on the old board on this subject ? But I can't remember the conclusion

One other that may not be mentioned
(I haven't read all 19 pages of the thread - so apologies if I'm duplicating things )
Is Hamish Stuart of the Average White Band

I've got a program - signed by him - for a 1973 home match against Motherwell -
He's signed Hamish & has drawn the AWB Logo - the w forming a lassies arse

It's still one of my prized possessions after all these years

" Fuckin' mon, then ........"

:))

I know, but I'm talking about the band, you know they were big in the UK before that album right?
Ish! BIB brought the band to stratospheric heights. Bon dying meant they got bigger. Not nice but true. I prefer the Bon stuff tbh. Love them.

HM not HRH.

James McPherson, Jardine in Taggart.
tbh, that's actually a bit of a schoolboy error there isn't it! In fact in using HM itself is dodgy...it's Her Majesty...God that brought a year to my eye. Quick pour me another drink; I feel a toast coming on :))

He's massive over here. Similar background to the young brothers and bon scott from acdc, born in Scotland and moved here as a kid.
I met Jimmy Barnes when he did some Gigs on "The Fairstar" (a famous old Cruiseship in OZ,) I was The Casino Manager onboard and we spent a good few nights at the bars getting hammered and he is indeed a Rangers man.

Ian Botham, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Owen, Frank Lampard, Robbie Fowler and Brian Rose (boxer).

True Boxing legend and a man never afraid to let you know where his footballing loyalties lie.

Jim Watt - all round good guy and an absolute gentleman.
What a man, met him for lunch through a work thing and his greatest/proudest achievement was fighting at Ibrox

He was still smiling telling the story that u knew he was so proud

I remember reading one of Lydon's books about when John McGeogh and another member of PIL at the time having a heated debate about us and them. Basically Mcgeogh going on about being Blue and the other guy being green. Lydon made it pretty clear he was neutral. He certainly does despise the Catholic Church tho.
Always assumed John McGeogh was a Morton fan

I'm certain Jimmy Barnes was photographed in the director's box many years ago.

David Tennant (McDonald) distancing himself from Presbyterianism was sad. His late father, Sandy, was Moderator of the Kirk and an absolute gentleman. David well knows his family history. Neither he nor his older brother (Blair - nicest guy you could meet) had any interest in footie.

Heard years ago a bear on the palace tour seen a pic of the Rangers on the wall. can anyone confirm? in saying that it doesnt prove who put it there. queen mother?
For some reason I doubt it to be honest, don’t think the queen has any particular interest in football.

Would love to be wrong though.
