Hibs consulting their players re tonight

Red flags everywhere here.... There is no reason why sellik shouldn't be tested at hind request before the game. You are talking about people's health here
 
As farcical as the whole situation is hibs rightly will forfeit the game if they refuse to play . Celtic have complied with the set testing rules of the league. They have consulted track and trace and the authorities. Hibs can’t just go in a huff cos Celtic refuse extra tests.

unless you can prove they have lied about the list or something they don’t have a leg to stand on
 
Bit late for Hibs to doing this now is it not? Whilst I sympathise with their concerns, all that will happen is that Hibs will be adjudged to be forfeiting the match and that might get appealed at a later date.
 
Don't think hibs are doing anything wrong. They can't flag it any earlier because they probably don't know what is going on with Celtic either. They weren't expecting 13 people to have to isolate. It's clear whether Celtic have breached protocol or not the situation of the virus spreading is outside of their ability to control it. Regularly they have made poor judgement calls on safety measures so if you are hibs you would be daft not to ask for more safety measures like more testing.

I still think it’s completely amateur from all involved at Hibs to only let their concerns be known at this late stage

So we can expect Hibs to demand additional testing hours from kick off any time they are playing a team that has had a recent positive test, even though the rules all the clubs signed up to don’t require that?

I agree to be honest. Think it'll go ahead after all is discussed.

Might mean that behind the scenes Hibs demand some clear reassurances over what players are isolating and how they were identified to be happier about playing and it will also give them a chance to bump their gums a bit about the whole thing. Get some early narrative/defence in for any future issues.

Refusing a second round of tests nonsensical from all. All right saying there's only been one positive test so they should crack on, why should Hibs players have to endanger themselves and their families on account of Celtic's head loss trip to Dubai and blatant disregard for protocols ? This of course after having the fixture moved to the Monday without being consulted in order to facilitate said holiday.

Even if it means delaying the kick off by an hour or whatever it should still be done, no reason not to. League and Celtic just making themselves look daft and pathetic, literally no negatives to carrying out a second round of tests except that it might mean Celtic have to forfeit the match.

The rules are not worth the paper they are written on when a squad goes abroad and clearly breaks numerous protocols.

Hibs player safety is paramount and the SPFL should have demanded another test on Sunday.

SPFL have caused this clusterfuck as well as the SFA. What have they in common? Neil Doncaster
 
No matter what we think I dont think the SPFL can risk false positives, the waters then become muddy beyond all recognition.
You can't ask a team to provide tests and results at the drop of a hat. If Celtic and track and trace have identified the people who need to isolate then Hibernian have to accept that.

Sounds to me they are sabre rattling but what we may not find out is who is really behind it. Nothing can be disregarded in Scottish football these days, nothing.

The rapid tests come back in 20 minutes mate, there's absolutely something more to their refusal.
Just arrogance and feeling of self importance? maybe? concerned more players will show up and they'll get hammered? maybe.
 
An opportunity to get closer to second place and they are trying their best to feck it up. I can guess the orc minded among them will not participate tonight. Shocking decision by Hivs.
 
Purely from a PR/common decency/humble point of view, the dhims should have agreed to the tests. However, none of those things really apply to them and they'll lap up the opportunity to play on having technically met requirements while they drag the image of Scottish football deeper into the gutter at every turn.
 
The spfl can’t help hibs here unless they have proof of concerns or lies. Otherwise imagine another team has a positive case then any team can just go nah we arnt feeling it . Health and safety . Think everyone gets hibs concerns but the ramifications of allowing hibs just to say nah can’t happen . Imagine we played a team that was full of injuries and one player in our team tested positive. They could just use it to their benefit and say they refuse to play . If hibs don’t play tonight . They rightly will be told to forfeit . Completely different if they could prove the 13 players were just made up but that’s unlikely to ever be proved

St Mirren broke plenty of protocols as the SPFL investigation showed, Hibs were fine with playing them.

They won’t be alone either.
 
You can't blame Hibs. The scum are lying, deceitful bastards. Problem for me is all scottish clubs have sat back and allowed them to have so much power that they do what they want. Including trying their best to kill Rangers. As ye sow........
