A few come to mind , krul,skacel,touil,
And tragically died young aged only 30.Daughter played tennis professionally
There was a couple Iiked though obviously there were better..
Fabian Caballero (Dundee)
Eremenko (Kilmarnock)
Thought Eremenko in particular looked ridiculously good at times. Ended up signing for Killie a year later and could barely walk (and he wasn’t the most agile to begin with)..
Also at Dundee Speroni and Sara seemed great players. Speroni went on to have a decent career in England, Sara disappeared from European football completely.
This was who I immediately thought of. Scored a few beltersKjael oloffson great player
Killie player maybe 10 years ago
Medhi Taoul .Thought any time against us was a very decent player.
And played for us so doesn’t count.Russell Latapy is worth a shout..
Played with Porto and over 80 caps for Trinidad and Tobago.
His son played for St Mirren did he not?And tragically died young aged only 30.
She was British No 1 for some time.
And went on to play a part in the Addams Family Values filmNot sure about best footballer but best name is Sieb Dykstra
And played for us so doesn’t count.
Not as good as her brother. Was Joan Cruyff a good player
I’ll second that, a wizard with the ball.Zoltan Varga, Aberdeen.
What is the point of the thread? You can't debate who the best player is and then say, you can't include the best player. So many people simply ignoring or misunderstanding the entire point of the thread!
The Dundee goalie who went to Crystal Palace and became a legend for them was good. Julian Speroni.
And purely for the underserved hype, I remember Morton fans creaming themselves over Marko Rajamaki in the 90s.
Hadnt heard of him, before my time, but a wee google search and he seemed to have some career path. Ferencvaros, Standard liege, Aberdeen, ajax, dortmund! Wikipedias got him as a midfielder with 10 goals in 26 games for aberdeen, is that right or was he more of a winger/ number 10?Zoltan Varga, Aberdeen.
Bambas had a good careerSol Bamba must be worth a shout.
Was that Ghanaian player for Hearts any good?
Presume your referring to Layrea Kingston, good player.Sol Bamba must be worth a shout.
Was that Ghanaian player for Hearts any good?
The UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. And what is the UK? It is the British state so of course they are British.
That was my first thought.Istvan Kozma. Not many players leave Dunfermline for Liverpool
In 2014. Same year as St Johnstone won the cup.Was British #1. Died from liver cancer aged 30
I always liked the wee French lad at Killie - can’t mind his name. Cracking player.
Mahrez has to be up there.
One of only 2 players to have played in 3 Scottish Cup finals for 3 different teams.Mixu Paatelainen was a decent player for a big fatty.
I was talking to a couple of Hibs supporters in the pub when he signed for them. I thought they were pretty clued up but near choked on my pint when they asked me if he was any good. The answer is Sauzee, not sure why we're not allowed to include him
The UK is England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland.
Great Britain is England, Scotland & Wales.
So, Northern Ireland is part of the UK but isn't part of Great Britain.
The Good Friday Agreement gave people born in Northern Ireland the right to claim British Citizenship.
In a similar way, residents of the Channel Islands also have the right to claim British Citizenship, despite the Channel Islands not being part of Great Britain or the UK.
Surely Laudrup was better?Russell Latapy is worth a shout..
Played with Porto and over 80 caps for Trinidad and Tobago.
Abominable suggestion.Yeti got to remember the keeper, javier bronto Sanchez (iirc)
Christophe Cocard, did he not play a stormer against us wearing trainers?Jerome Veraille was the guy at killie I thought was excellent and under rated I think.
Morton fans also creamed themselves over Preben Arentoft in the 60's.So many people simply ignoring or misunderstanding the entire point of the thread!

Julian Speroni was a fantastic keeperThe Dundee boys were all good Juan Sara was decent, Caballero was another I think but Nemsadze was class and would have loved to see us sign him
Best player in Scotland, except not young, old, Rangers or Celtic. Not had a better club before or after, not played better before or after. But the best in that category. The answer is Sauzee, not sure why we're not allowed to include him
I remember him and he was part of Pal Hal's Morton Scandinavian Invasion. We got Erik Sorensen the goalie and Bjorn Sorensen an inside forward from Morton. The one I wanted us to sign was Lennart Wing, a left half but we had Baxter so that was a no go. I think Morton signed him from an Italian team.Morton fans also creamed themselves over Preben Arentoft in the 60's.
He was more than decent.
