We’ll see what the second half brings but we had a great opportunity to start building some momentum there and shot ourselves in the foot.

Sloppy goal to lose yet again. No doubt we'll collect 3 points but we need to be ruthless at the back and up top.

Considering what gone on before you have to mark that as satisfactory. Would have been a good without that soft goal.

Frustrating to lose an easy goal like that after such a dominant display. Same performance second half and we should canter this, however, we need to make a good start to the second half. That goal gave them a bit of energy.

The guy Tav is “marking” doesn’t put the cross into the box, he doesn’t have the initial shot and he doesn’t score the goal yet there are people saying Tav is at fault?

Get a grip of yourselves ffs.
Correct Tav gets out to his man forces him to play it back one. Aribo jogs to him not closing the cross fast enough. Goldson fails to clear and then fails to cover the rebound.

Stupid goal to give away. You can put it down to these things happen but it's a bit too often at the minute.

Just need to get that out our system and carry on the way we had been. Would maybe put Roofe in for Kent. Kent doesn't necessarily deserve to come off but hasn't been brilliant either and will keep him fresh for next two matches.

absolute cruise control then the inevitable happens defense switches off and the score from their only shot on goal.
It's not even just the defence. The ENTIRE team just turn off. It's like they've got a group off button that gets pressed. It is genuinely freaky. It happens so often as well, just all of a sudden there is nothing from any player on the pitch.

Playing really well, but lack of ruthlessness, we were in great positions to score more goals but either a poor effort on goal, wateful pass or wrong option means opportunity gone. When on top we have to be more clinical, defensive mistakes happen, we can argue about who is in the wrong for those, but if the front players do their business then it is a blip rather than a potential game changer.

40 minutes of good, 5 minutes of garbage. Deep free kick, defence lying asleep and they get a very cheap goal.

Far more concentration required in the second half but no real cause for concern.

We need to come out in the second half and play with same intensity as we played for the majority of the first,To often when we dip we can’t regain our composure and our game goes to shit,Hers hoping we respond in the right way.

The best and worst of Tav today. Great corner for the goal, generally looking a bit better then switches off completely at a key moment and we lose a goal.
Listen we will always lose goals through tav being unable to pick men up like a defender should, it has been there since he signed for us it would take all day to count the amount of goals we have lost through this, makes no difference he will not be benched, the manager won't so we have to get on with it.
What’s he done wrong?

Not having a dig at Tav (it happens), but he did let the man go at the back post, and he did jog out to him.

Get out quick and stop the cross that doesn’t happen.

Is there to be no criticism at all when we lose a goal?

He stopped the man he was marking putting the cross in ffs.

I'll say this again. We need to learn to deal with teams off the ball. The ross county goal was well taken too. Caught us napping which we shouldn't be napping. We need another cb or we need to change the system.

We are 2 1 up. I dont want to criticise neither do I want to be too harsh. We are scoring goals. Just off the ball work we need to improve because the minimum possession opponents seem to have against us. They seem to capitalise so far

The few minute leading up to their goal were really scrappy, they were winning all the fouls , all the throw-ins etc. Lost control of the game for a spell and got punished

Do you know what I find odd, the absolute need to blame someone for a goal tha we concede.

Does it make you feel better that we conceded if you all blame Tav, Goldson or Balogun?

Overall an improvement performance-wise and started very brightly. That said, undoubtedly concerning the way we seem to be switching off at the back in games and a very poor goal to lose that takes the game from a stroll to a grind yet again.

Would much rather Helander was in and we were keeping a consistent back line game to game. Something very unconvincing about us defensively, despite being so good last season.

Need to stop pissing about with the back line, it absolutely disrupts us n it’s nonsense against shite like County. Helander should play every game he’s fit. We win 4-1 today and we leave thinking that the back line is still fragile.

I hope we don’t come out sleeping in the second half. Get the intensity up and we will get a few more. The last 10-15 mins of that half were back to the slow plodding play
When we slow it down we look very ordinary.
We are our best at a quick tempo.

If you think their goal was Tav’s fault then reflect on the fact you just don’t like Tav and are blaming him for things that aren’t his fault.
Saying people don't like tav because they feel he played a part in the goal is a pathetic argument

We look vulnerable near on every time a team has a set piece against us. Something we rarely seen at all last season. The constant chopping and changing of the back 5 makes it hard for any continuity. If they’re both fit Helander and Goldson should be our first choice pair every game.

Not a bad half. Followed on from second half on Thursday but if there is a common thread to our disappointing start to the season it's been that when we've established control in games we've then had a spell of a couple of minutes lacking concentration and scrappy possession which have culminated in losing a bad goal. At that point we've reacted passively and allowed the opposition to gain some impetus.

Right now, I'd prefer Simpson in at LCB instead of Balogun if we are going to rotate.

I'm sure that will rile some people up because they've already decided he's "crap" but if we're going to rotate, Balogun has made too many costly mistakes this season already, I have absolutely no idea where Katic is on his pathway to recovery and Simpson was OK against Real Madrid in the Friendly and against Dunfermline.
