I actually think the 3 pundits have got a pretty good chemistry. I think Fletcher makes some good points and he comes across as quite a clever guy. McCoist has the personality and Boyd is a good foil for both, plus we know he's likely to tell t as he sees it whether folk on here agree with him or not - he's better on TV than as a columnist when his words aree edited.

In ideal circumstances Id agree. Obviously we’re a bit light in that position at the minute.

It just annoys me that people only seem to see his strong “backs to the wall” Braga away or Lyon type performances.

No doubt he can improve but the reality is you feel Edmundson is never that far from a gifting a howler.

Yep, when Goldson got his chance he played excellent and got MOTM. They are two good centre halfs no slight on Goldson and Balogun not playing.

Reads the game well, passes the ball into midfield (finds his own players more often than not). Defends well.

Not overly aggressive in the air, he's basically the opposite of Katic.

His main deficiency is in the air, he isn't outright bad or worse than Edmundson in this regard but it's a weakness nonetheless.

To me, his biggest strength is in possession, he likes to get the ball forward be that through passing or making runs.

His general defensive play is good too
