Probably not but there has been the panic decision moments to ensure results are far better in the short termDo Sunderland hold the world record of the most managerial appointments the past 20 years?
Agree hope he does OKI actually think AN is a decent manager, I know he is one of them and all that but he always comes across decent enough
Think Watford possibly had more this week lolDo Sunderland hold the world record of the most managerial appointments the past 20 years?
Think Watford possibly had more this week lol
He did after TWO interviews apparently.Wonder if Roy Keane turned them down.
Hope he knows there's no trains stopping at Durham tomorrow or Sunday if he's planning on coming back by train.Still to be officially confirmed BTW
Pictured at Durham train station on route to the game at AFC Wimbledon
I am sure both him and the squad will be fineHope he knows there's no trains stopping at Durham tomorrow or Sunday if he's planning on coming back by train.
No, wait, I hope he doesn't know that.
Yes, safe in League one for eternity.I am sure both him and the squad will be fine
Done alright with Preston. Preston seem like the most unambitious club going and are happy to be bottom half championship
I think he’ll do well at Sunderland
As a North End fan that's a pretty fair assessment.
At that level he should take them up no bother but this is Sunderland we're talking about. They always seem to make a right dogs breakfast of it.
FWIW I think he'll get them up & then get sacked at the 1st point they start to struggle.
Don’t understand anyone taking that job.Another in a long list of managers who will go and fail
Roy interviewed the board and wasn’t impressedApparently talks broke down with him
Shows what the Sunderland fans know about football, Keane is a crap manager, Neil is decent at that level.Hes probably the best appointment they could make in their current predicament..hes up against it straight away though due to the majority of their support wanting Keane
Not sure but he’s the 27th manager, including caretakers, in the past 20 years.Do Sunderland hold the world record of the most managerial appointments the past 20 years?
Who ?OT I had dealings with him last week, what a arrogant twat.
They wanted Keane purely on sentimental reasons ..he would never have done a job at that level, Neil is much better.Shows what the Sunderland fans know about football, Keane is a crap manager, Neil is decent at that level.
Sorry to put down your club but it just looks that way from the outside!
Alex NeilWho ?
Agreed…good manager. He's had a good managerial career so far.
Taking Hamilton up was a great feat (they also beat Celtic at Parkhead their first full season back in the SPFL) and worked wonders at Norwich to get them promoted. They were then relegated but that always happens with Norwich and, for whatever reasons, didn't work out at Preston.
He'll do well at Sunderland.
Through one of those "friend of a friend" tenuous links, I was told he has zero interest in coming back up here to manageHibs were daft not to go for him.
Maybe true as the football up here gets tedious even for the supporters.Through one of those "friend of a friend" tenuous links, I was told he has zero interest in coming back up here to manage
Wanted £2m a year according to Talksport earlier.Wonder if Roy Keane turned them down.

Jack Ross was on £350k
He never had a dog's chance of getting it. Only people linking him with it were him and his pals in the media. Destined for a coaching role in China, Saudi Arabia or Israel. At least that fat disgrace Lennon’s still out of work
Neil McCann? Not sure how a guy sacked by Dundee and Inverness would be smart choice tbh.Him & McCann were the smart choices, the sheep & hibs should be kicking themselves for not getting him. Could've been a Steve Clarke level appointment for them, instead they'll languish in the bottom-half with their experimental managers lol.

Alex Neil will take Sunderland up, a good appointment.
