Brenda not happy with the gambling addict

I wouldn’t wish harm on him, but by gum am I delighted he’s not playing football for them. He’s a deadly finisher and wins them so many points. If we win the title the filth will never forgive him.

Ordinarily I would say the same, but in this wee rat's case I'll make an exception.

F.uc.k him.

“Look I’m here, tell everybody!”sounds about right about this prick.
Think as well hivs inside 12 months
Happy to see him under pressure, long may it continue.

I find it absolutely hilarious that the beggars gave him a 4 year deal last season, but make no mistake, this is the beginning of the smear campaign from them to turn everyone against the wee rat and for them to try and manoeuvre a way out of paying him off with substantial cash.
A good employer would be offering every bit of support both publicly and privately but the beggars obviously feel he is beyond help so will try to cut their losses by demonizing him, but then when have the beasty bastards ever treated players, particularly young players, with any respect and dignity?
As for Teirney? I hope to %^*& his injury is serious and a direct result of them absolutely beasting him (no pun intended) the last few seasons. We were being told if they are good enough they are old enough and the press kept praising him and using him as an example as we signed experienced players instead of relying on youth. Alex Ferguson got it right at United by easing young players in and not over-playing them as their body still develops, he knew what he was doing.

I think Griffiths is finished and I don't even think he's remotely bothered.

As for Brenda saying he's no happy. If he's away with mental issues then what he gets up to is not his issue. Having depression (if that's what it is) doesn't mean he can't go out etc.

Yes. And IIRC, he also denied it was gambling related.........so, this makes Rodgers' statement even worse.

I am not sympathetic to Thumb in any way - he is a racist ned who if he wasn't a footballer, would be in jail. But, I feel that Rodgers has crossed the line here - big time!

But, with such a high opinion of himself - he must see himself as a mental health expert too.

Not for me. I think Griffiths is taking the piss and his employer has every right to be raging with him.

Think it's the end for 'Griff'

And I really don't think Hibs are stupid enough to employ him either, well not as a footballer.

As for Tierney? Highlights the problem of playing teenagers every game over a long season. There is a risk of causing serious injury that can cut their careers short (he's now 21).

Heard some rumours going around that Tierney's hip problem may be related to Osteitis Pubis which has been known to force players into retirement.

There was mentally challengeds hounding the newspapers for this pedalling the "this was last year" line.

Someone clocked that he had a new pair of Yeezy trainers which were only released in December 2018, and that was the end of that.

Shameless tramps will back their own regardless and ignore all the evidence, as seen in many other cases throughout their history.

Thumb is a horrible wee Ned. He conducts himself like a Ned so therefore I'll give him the sympathy a Ned deserves.

None.

CELTIC boss Brendan Rodgers has blasted Leigh Griffiths over his day at the races.

The striker, 28 — taking a break from football as he battles issues including a gambling problem — was snapped betting on horses on Saturday.

Speaking for the first time about the pics, Rodgers said: “Leigh was off on health grounds. He is not on holiday.”

Rodgers also warned Griffiths to “lie low and take responsibility for himself” after the troubled striker was spotted boozing and betting while off sick.

The Parkhead gaffer urged the wayward star to use his time out from football to focus on his recovery.

And he called on the player to seek “specialist help” during his break while he tackles his personal demons.

Rodgers said: “It’s very important that he understands why he is off and why he has been given the time off.

“Why he has to maximise that time in terms of getting better.

“That’s about getting specialist help and lying low and focussing on the simple things in your life that will allow you to be better.”

Rodgers, who is currently in Dubai with the Celtic squad at their winter training camp, added: “It’s a bit of responsibility.

“You take a deep breath, assess where you are at and then take the responsibility.

“Players who have dealt with any type of issues, it’s about admitting that responsibility and knowing where you are at. It’s the only way you have to move forward, really.

“It is important, if you have these issues, there are ways in which to deal with it.

“But there is also a responsibility for Leigh Griffiths.”

The Scottish Sun on Sunday revealed pictures of Griffiths’ day out at Gosforth Park race course which showed him wandering between an exclusive bar and the bookies.

He was spotted handing over a wad of notes to one betting firm as well as posing for selfies for fans while holding a beer.

After the photos emerged, Griffiths angrily denied his break from football was down to a gambling problem and insisted it was because of his “mental state”.

Hoops boss Rodgers revealed he hasn’t spoken to the player since the photos of his day out in Newcastle emerged.

But he admitted he plans to hold a face-to-face meeting with Griffiths when he returns from Dubai — and said Celtic had appointed a staff member to look after him while he’s off.

Rodgers said: “I was obviously made aware of it but haven’t seen the pictures. The club are dealing with it — it’s a private matter.

“Leigh was off on grounds of his health so the club are supporting him with that. I think it’s one where I will take a deep breath and look at it. I haven’t spoken to him yet. A designated person at the club is dealing with everything with regards to Leigh and I will pick that up when I get back.”

Griffiths’ day at the races followed a ‘cry for help’ moment last month over personal demons that saw him announce he was taking a break from football.

Pals had called cops to report him missing from his home in Wallyford, East Lothian, before he was traced two hours later in Edinburgh city centre.

Asked at the time if the player had a gambling problem, Rodgers replied: “It’s a number of issues.”

There are questions over when he could be back playing.

Rodgers added: “There is no timescale. It’s all based around how he is feeling and the situations in his life.

“Ultimately he is a Celtic player and the club are paying him a lot of money. But in these instances you have to support the player.

“Money doesn’t count for anything if the player isn’t in good health. We need to support him which the club is doing amazingly. It’s ongoing and I have no timeline with this kind of stuff.”

Onlookers who spotted Griffiths at the races on Saturday described how he stood out “like a sore thumb” in a bright red coat.

One said: “He was quite upfront about it. He was standing outside in the crowd with a pint in his hand, getting selfies done.

“He stood out like a sore thumb. He was wearing a red anorak, skin-tight trousers and pure white trainers on a dull day when everybody’s wrapped up in black. It was almost as though it was ‘Look, I’m here, tell everybody’.

“It seems strange he was there in the first place. You wouldn’t go there for any other reason than for drinking and gambling.”

Griff was snapped applauding a jockey riding past him and a pal.

He was also spotted handing a pile of notes to a bookmaker at the side of the paddock.

And the Scotland ace appeared to jump for joy after cashing in on 7-4 favourite Ascot De Bruyere in the 2.35pm race.

The onlooker added: “He looked like someone who had money to get rid of before he went home. It was cash he was betting with.

“He was picking the horses, having a punt then away to the bar. He was there all afternoon. He left after the last race at three. It looked like he won money.”

How did Brenda cure his trannie loving weakness

Seems they've appointed someone to look after him. Someone to chauffeur him to the races, take him to the bookies etc.

I think they will be getting a roasting thinking Brenda wouldnt hear about it. So if he hasnt a gambling problem then he must have some other addiction.

Edinburgh city centre wouldnt be a quiet place to use a hosepipe either.

I heard the exact same last night. On WhatsApp, from one of them, so totally unsubstantiated.

A number of problems you say ..... booze, drugs, gambling.

Mental health issues are many things.

Career finished.
Money finished.

The only thing he can look forward to is asking for "spare change mister"

So if it is gambling does being off sick stop you getting done for it? If he is an addict I doubt he restricted his bets to horses & dugs.

If it is drugs why was he never caught by random testing? Not sure if the SPFL do these but surely when he played for Scotland he had a good chance of being tested.
Also if it is drugs and they are deemed to be ‘performance enhancing’ does that call into question any close wins they had where he scored and possibly league titles?

By calling his issues ‘mental health problems’ are they trying to cover something up that could cause them bigger problems? They are known for it after all.

^^^^ this.

Very suspicious that he couldn't play for Scotland due to "fitness" reasons - of course Eck was slaughtered in the media for not selecting him but the consequences for the national side if he had failed a test would be catastrophic.

SPL drug testing is a joke - at FIFA level it's completely different.

Rumours are from mentally challengeds that hes been told hes finnished at Celtic or that hes been telling folk that anyways.

Defo more to the story than whats in papers

I think Griffiths is finished and I don't even think he's remotely bothered.

Which is odd because he seems to hate us more than any other player. You’d think he’d be desperate to get tore into us and not laze about watching us pump them.

Wouldn’t surprise me but since he is only a year into a 4 year deal he holds all the aces so to speak.

It's remarkable that the sympathy vote for the turd's mental health issues (which was prominent in the first thread about this) has all but vanished. In keeping with that sentiment, I hope he wins big on the races, buys a Lamborghini, gets stoned and crashes it into a public toilet at 90 mph with a priest blowing a cardinal in the first booth.

There would still be "nothing to see here".

It has nothing to do with mental heath issues, he's a degenerate gambler who makes bad choices regarding his lifestyle.
The choices are his and no one elses, so can we forget being sympathetic towards him on grounds of mental health.
I'd hope for the sake of his many weans that he stops his gambling but the fact is hes a selfish wee c*nt who didnt care about them when he was pissing their money away at the bookies.
F*ck him.

Maybe Griffiths is sick of Celtic?

This is a club who knew months and months ago about his addictions and how low he sunk, did they try and get him help?

No they tried to sell him, hawking him round the English Championship and trying to wash there hands of him.

Fast forward and when it becomes clear that he has tried to do serious damage to himself, and his addictions are just getting worse, they "give him time off", don't foot the bill for rehab, don't get him psychiatric help, no and why not? Because it would let everyone know the issues he has and make him worthless when they try and punt him again in the summer.

I can't stand the rat, nor the club he plays for, and you reap what you sow, and he is probably finding that out.

They want rid, just like they want rid of Brown and want him off the wage bill with the two of them taking out nearly £60k a week between them, brown because he is done, and Griffiths because he is as close to done as you can be.

WTF!!

All the noise being made that thumbheeds problems are mental health and not gambling or boozing.

Are there two things that can have a more detrimental effect on someone with mental health issues / depression than boozing and gambling?

Drugs? Being a cellic player?

Being a cellic player on drugs..

So Griffiths has possible mental health problems and/or a gambling addiction and Brenda has basically went off on one and publically told him to pull his shit together quick sharp. Wow. No way back from there in that relationship I'd expect.

Hes only recently just signed a 4 year deal

They'll want him off their books ASAP

If anything happens to him given the state of his psyche, Timmy would leave themselves open to yet another court case

He's wrong. Griffiths is "signed off" his work, not his social/private life.

Obviously if he does have a gambling addiction then going to the races isn't the brightest of moves but then again he isn't the brightest of people.

Makes a change from talking about referees right enough.
This is where you would be wrong.

He is signed off his work on health grounds. Regardless of what lie celtc spin, I'm 100 percent sure the recovery for whatever is wrong with him is not alcohol and gambling. It's gross misconduct and he could be suspended pending dismissal.

If Griffiths (stupid statement here) had any brains, Rodgers could be reported for discussing an employees absence in a public forum and still could be done by hr. Gross misconduct and same details as Griffiths.

It's an utter clusterfuck and while I won't mock mental health (the celtc lie) its fucking comical watching them make such a rip roaring arse of this!

My Mrs has this. If it doesn’t clear up it’s self it’s a life time condition by all accounts

Was listening to some roaster on talk sport earlier. Who know everything about him and that he was following celtics advice to the letter.

I couldn’t help but wonder, if he was following the advice of them to the letter, why is his line manager slating him publicly.

They don’t do intelligence so they!?

Now which striker ''who won't be playing football anymore'' jacked in his stint in Mansion House Priory last week & the boys in blue had to intervene to stop him doing the old pipe trick for the ''second time''? This is getting embarrassing now......embarrassing
