You mean the casino isnt happening?????
Fucking mind that Murray sold us all a Vegas pipe dream.
I love the artwork of it though.
You mean the casino isnt happening?????
Because the ground they have at the moment is an absolute shitholeWhat’s the point? Why not improve their youth development with an aim of generating cash from the players they sell.
It seems very arrogant to suggest other teams do this when we all know that we would never want it for our own club.Inverness nearly 30 years on still hasn't got over amalgamation. It's hard to say the Dundee's should do the same, but I still think they should...
New team with a new stadium but keeps a conjoined history of both clubs. Easy to say from the outside
Surely just getting the stadium built is the burning issue?"the development would also include homes, a 100 room hotel, restaurants and A CREMATORIUM"
Wtf???
I dont think they average near that do they? It's a bold plan but can't see it getting any further than the drawings above.
15,000 seater stadium for a club that gets 5,000 is very ambitious.
Oh come on, it must be all the extra money they are making from our fabulous new Sky TV deal. SurelyHow can they afford that? Seriously.
Dundee do not need a 15,000 seater stadium.
Some of these diddy clubs really do have delusions of grandeur.
Also, a crematorium?
It is, I wasn't saying it flippantly. Just don't see how going on as they are will help anyone. It seems very arrogant to suggest other teams do this when we all know that we would never want it for our own club.
Horrible souless dump
Looks good but will never see daylight. Same as aberdeens new ground. Pie in the sky stuff.
Only if they ground share with Dundee UtdThey going to fill the stands with mannequins
United fans might want their seats to be tangerine.Ground share with Dundee Utd is the sensible option, a 15-20k stadium which could then be used if Aberdeen were playing any team bar us and them in a Semi. Could also be used for womens international and u21’s.
A decent stadium with half the seats blue and half the seats orange to make it fair.
Yes, or they could just amalgamate. Both Dundee clubs should work in harmony with the council and develop a city stadium in partnership with the hotelier. Or would that be too sensible?
In a word. Yes.Both Dundee clubs should work in harmony with the council and develop a city stadium in partnership with the hotelier. Or would that be too sensible?
Are we sure that a unicorn would even need to take a Shiite? One to ponder.it’s just the same as the mutton molesters’ pipe dream, made of moonbeams and unicorn shoite. Never going to happen.
You forgot glamour friendlies.New stadiums attract bigger crowds, but they'll be nowhere near filling it unless they are playing Rangers, Celtic or Dundee United.
Dundee’s American owners are looking for the new ground and a local gives them directions ‘cross Kingsway and you will see two queues of cars, don’t join the big queue, that’s the KFC drive thru’Congestion nightmare.
The place gets backed up at the weekend with folk going to McDonalds and KFC.
Imagine that plus match day traffic.
Just a shade of orangeUnited fans might want their seats to be tangerine.
Both Dundee clubs should work in harmony with the council and develop a city stadium in partnership with the hotelier. Or would that be too sensible?
I’m sure that would go down as well in Dundee as “Why don’t Rangers and Celtic have a San Siro style….’ Would in glasgow .Surely they could have a San Siro style* ground share with Dundee United. Sell one of the stadiums to development, upgrade one of them win win win. Although no doubt this will be shot down by them both in another fine move of Scottish football being so short sighted, they can't see the opportunity to develop/ advance.
*slightly smaller capacity maybe.
The crematorium will obviously be the thing that attracts council funding for the project"the development would also include homes, a 100 room hotel, restaurants and A CREMATORIUM"
Wtf???
Semi's would be ideal, it's long bene a bug bear of mine that semi's are played at the Hampden. The reward of getting to the final should be getting to play there, not getting to play there as its the semi.I said this years ago. Build something that holds about 25k. Would be used every week (sparsely I know), along with cup semis (depending on teams involved obviously) and would also be a decent size for music events etc.
4 boxes ? How dull and uninspiring...there are some brilliant designs for small stadiums across Europe... put a bit of thought into it at least..Horrible souless dump

Regional semi final venues easy the pressure on travelling support, some of whom can't access Hampden via train on the day of a semi final due to kick off times.
