I don't get why no one seems to want to do anything about this , no ones wants to protest or make a stand and those that do are getting laughed at , are the government really just able to bend everyone over whenever they want and the public will just be good little boys and girls and take it

Before anyone starts as to the rights and wrongs, or gets into any 'civil liberty' debates, all I am doing is setting out the info I have and my interpretation of such. I know no more or less than the 'average Joe', because I am Joe too.

They will let christmas happen then lockdown. Nobody is going to listen to them for Christmas anyway and politicians fear that blowback. They will think they will get compliance if they dangle the Christmas cherry in front of the public.

Scientists recommending to UK ministers that all non essential retail should close again.

That’s an unreal scenario for you mate your Mrs will be up to high dough. I don’t want to depress you but I’d be amazed if you get married on the 27th now unfortunately. Javid is on Andrew marr just now saying it might even be brought in before Christmas , although as others have said that would be a last resort as people just won’t listen.

Struggling to disagree with the hooligans tbh, think everyone is that fed up more than just them fancy a bit of a riot, probably half the police wouldn't mind either.

When they brought in the 5pm restrictions here i said to the misses we will be back in lock down before you know it and will be lucky to get out of it before Easter. She didn't think so but here we are again.

Might be the hang over getting worse but the more i think about it the more scunnered i get.

Yeah, that's what I think mate. It's actually the waiting for the inevitable that's the worst. We've got family flying in from different parts of the world too so that's another factor. Gutter for us is we didn't even rebook after Vegas (June 2020) as we thought better to wait till things were looking normal again. Only booked it in Oct and settled on Glasgow just so we could limit risk as much as possible. Worst thing is had to give my season book up for Wednesday, yesterday and for boxing day incase I was pinged etc. Haha

What are people meant to do?

I live here, nobody is happy with it but what can we realistically do?

We had street parties last year which were illegal at the time. People had folk round their houses and there was gatherings in parks or on the canals or where the pub terrasse were where people brought their own picnic and just sat down and got on with it. Pubs were selling drink out their doors in closed containers.

For the most part the police were fine and just let people get on with it. They are people as well, i am sure plenty of them just want it back to normal but they are stuck enforcing shite laws as it their job.

I am not sure what more we can do to not accept it.

Yeah, probably. That's why I'm hoping there's a decision tomorrow. They obviously have the issue of not getting back for work aswell of they get pinged or worse get it, so they prob wouldn't travel if it wasnt for wedding.

Surely the government medical people will be tracking new cases after this weekends games - to see if there is a rise in cases.

just like they did for Cop 26
 
Were we properly compensated by the Scottish Government last year? I don't think so. Our league more than any other in Europe relies on supporters at games. So we can't afford to go behind closed doors again even if England do as the top division down there can afford it.

I've heard from day one this is about money and that the vaccines and the tests are a big business and industry (which is true) but at the peak of the pandemic it cost the UK Government billions per week in furlough money alone and that's before getting started on the economy.

It didn’t cost the government anything it cost us, we will be the ones suffering not one single politician will be suffering due to this. Inflation through the roof, the money we earn and have saved has been devalued. Small businesses trampled on, freedoms and rights trampled on.

Lockdowns don’t work, the vaccines don’t work and our politicians have lied to us. They are now pitting the “vaccinated v the “ANTIVAX” and people are lapping it up.

There are legitimate concerns with the “vaccines” they have offered up. There are many treatments out there for people if it’s dealt with early but that never gets mentioned - you’re a nut job if you mention it. Natural immunity never gets mentioned.

I’ve had covid and got it from a vaccinated person.

Nearly two years in, 92% vaccination rates and they are going to lock us down again! If that doesn’t make you question it all then I don’t know what to say?

It’s all the “tin foil hat wearing anti-vaxxers fault” - yeah right.

I admire and respect all those willing to speak out and protest

March in London yesterday was another example. Unfortunately not much evidence of opposition in Scotland.

Just look at we nippys nasty reaction to being asked pointed questions a few days back. No opposition allowed in her Scotland
