Gary Neville announces his hotels will be handed to the NHS, with no staff redundancies of unpaid leave

That's an outstanding gesture and idea. I hope that other millionaires and billionaires realize that without the rest of society, their wealth is pretty meaningless. I'd love to see more of them following suit.

That’s superb but from a business point of view could be suicidal if the crisis continues and even after that how many people would want to stay in a hotel thats been occupied by people who will have daily contact with people with the virus

it really is a fantastic gesture but a risky one

Very good gesture and an example which may shame some more affluent business persons to get their chequebok out

Id think someone who has given so much thought to this situation and handed property over to the health service would be getting, at the bare minimum, a decontamination service that NASA would be proud of.

Additionally, these are the sort of gestures that, as stated, people remember and try and reward with business if they can.

It’s above and beyond and outstanding from him.
A great citizen of Great Britain.

Great gesture from Neville certainly puts others to shame who's only concern is how much money this virus is going to cost them

it's times like these that we are going through that certain people step up to the mark and do good things can't say i've been his biggest fan but this is class

Virgin Group only owns 20% of Virgin Atlantic. The rest is owned by other airlines who are also up shit creek.

Is he to subsidise workers in all Virgin branded companies that he is a minority shareholder in?

Easyjet are putting their staff on 3 months unpaid leave, but giving half wages for 6 months rather than none, and they have access to £2.1billion cash in the bank.

Good lad Neville. Just wish some more of those with people and companies who are cash rich still had a social conscience

Very thoughtful action from Neville and partners on a number of fronts. Some other company owners/leaders can learn a valuable lesson from this. Sadly many won't but hat off to Neville and Team.

Great gesture. Will get lots of loyalty and staff willing to do that bit extra when they see how people in similar employment are treated.
