Goodwin says the SPFL bent their own rules

Tin hat on…..I don’t mind Jim Goodwin the manager. Speaks his mind and doesn’t give a toss who he upsets. This latest statement shows again that he’s not for being cowed by the authorities and exposes the bog trotters influence (reading between the lines).

Why didn’t he come out with this before the game?

He’s bringing focus on to the situation, why would he do that? Does he want the team that employs him to forfeit the match and the team he supports get the 3 points?

Sure as night follows day if there is any appeal from the shameless which gets listened too, this would have to be the moment that Rangers take these corrupt bastards to CAS.

Jim Goodwin has claimed the SPFL had to bend their own rules to allow his St Mirren side to face Celtic.

The Buddies boss was forced to recall kids from loan deals and draft in academy youngsters after 11 first team stars were ruled out due to Covid chaos – and pleas to have the game shelved fell on deaf ears.

Goodwin said: “It's been extremely difficult as you'd imagine. We've been here before.

"I'm not surprised as we were forced to play games last year that we didn't really want to.

"It was Groundhog Day all over - very similar to what happened last year.
"We had major dialogue back and forth with the authorities and we were explaining the situation.

"If we only have three or four positives, it's a different situation - but we had 11 positives and were still waiting for two results before the game.

"Thankfully we were able to free up a few of our players who were deemed close contacts on Tuesday.

"We had major dialogue back and forth with the authorities and we were explaining the situation.

"Nobody at St Mirren wants to cancel games willy nilly, but these are extreme circumstances.

"If we only have three or four positives, it's a different situation - but we had 11 positives and were still waiting for two results before the game.

"On Wednesday afternoon we genuinely felt we were going to have to play six or seven under-17 players.

"We asked for the game to be postponed but unfortunately the powers that be wanted the game to go ahead.

"So much so that they have bent loan rules to allow us to bring six under-18 players to bulk the squad.

"They amended the loans to allow us to bring back players from Lowland League clubs.

"They went to great lengths to get the game on. They explored every avenue, even down to those loan rules.

"The SFA and SPFL got together on the Lowland loans, but we weren't allowed to bring league ones back."
So they let them bring back kids , but not any players with experience or of a better standard…. How strange !!!

3x Saints players tested positive for Calpol. Celtc lodged complaint with International Court for Sports Arbitration. Points awarded to Celtc. 3 game ban for Morelos. We move on.

The filth don't give a toss about any other club or the game here. Yet so many other clubs still suck them off.
Maybe the nationalist in them prefers to take it from Timmy rather than see all those Union Flags waving when we're champs.
Oh well, see you in May.

Celtic though they could get the win today but knew they'd probably lose against us. So, needed have that game binned but tonight's and box days were fine as they should have got the points. It backfired for them.

It is no surprise that the SPFL were quite happy to do Celtic's bidding.
The only justice will be losing to St Johnstone on Boxing Day. That would be karma supreme

spfl and rules? Rules do not matter to them. An absolute corrupt shambolic organisation of crooked clowns who are governed by celtic supporting bigots and their hand picked cowards who do nothing for the clubs they represent and bend over backwards to ensure celtics wishes are granted.
Sometimes these wishes don't come true,so hopefully Rangers and st johnstone will ruin their Christmas and new year this week. It just might happen even with clancy in charge of them. That would be sweet.

So did St Mirren's request for postponement come before or after the noises about moving the winter break started?

It seems to me now that the SPFL themselves wanted the winter break moved but if they postponed two games for St Mirren then the possibility of moving the winter break goes right out the window.

Otherwise you just move St Mirren v Celtic to February 2nd. Move Rangers v St Mirren to the next available date and then block the request to move the winter break.

The only real explanation for that is that the SPFL are under pressure to move the winter break and instead of explaining what that's impossible they go to St Mirren and apply some real pressure on them to get that game played.

So who was putting pressure on the SPFL, is the question.
