Joe Aribo choosing to play for the worldwide icon and all-round class human being that is Steven Gerrard over the snarling, angry little bigot with popcorn teeth might just be one of the most decisive factors in deciding where the trophies go this season.

Imagine our midfield without him in it...

Now imagine him playing for their midfield against us – it simply doesn’t bear thinking about.

Once again, our managerial team and board deserve enormous credit for pulling this one off.

What a sensational signing :))

He's a quality player. He has everything to go to the very top.

But...but...but...people questioned Mark Allen again earlier...pretty much saying we had a shocking window "quantity over quality!" blah f.ucking blah!

Very surprised we have managed to sign him if being honest.

Surely there were teams down south interested??

There was one moment in the first half, on the left hand side of the pitch.

He just seemed to walk away from his marker like the opponent wasn’t there.

Not sure how he did it but he left guy about 5 yards behind him wondering ‘where the fcuk did he just go, what happened there?’

Was exquisite. Big Joe has magic dust in his boots. The most naturally skilful and gifted player we have seen for decades,

Early days of course but based on his performance so far, Aribo is the first midfielder we've had in such a long time who can produce both the easy on the eye moments in the middle of the park and a lethal end product to match it. Massively impressed.

He might not be involved as much as a Ryan Jack but god he does some stuff thats just jaw dropping, i still think he has another couple of gears to go into.

Its scary but i like it:p

For years I have been aching for a player to stand in the middle of the park, run and shoot down the throats of the opposition.

He looks to be that guy and has the potential to be more after working with our manager.

Looks to be a very very shrewd signing

And not without some solidity about his play. He is no pushover
