Leeds target Rangers star Glen Kamara for £8m summer transfer after scouting mission

Don't think we need to sell him so why should we, he is an assett that will gain in value and his worth to us in achieving our goals is more important than short term money, this guy is only going to get better keep him with us.

I would hold out for more than £8m. Kamara isn't quite as important to our team as Morelos is of course. However, he is a player with a load of potential and a very good career of ahead of him.

Why are you bringing Morelos into a transfer discussion about Kamara. The 2 scenarios are non comparable.

If you think Rangers wont accept £8m for Kamara then you are delusional.

Cos i felt like it.... if the club need money, which is fair enough as quite a bit has been spent recently, then Alfie leaving would mean theres no need to sell Kamara for what i believe isnt a great deal for the club. Id prefer to get crazy amounts for Alfie and yes i know who is the better or more important player.

There isnt really any discussion, not from you mate you aint explained anything you just keep saying if i disagree with you im deluded.

How much lower will we go then to get this deal done seeing as you know.... 6m, 5m, 4m ?

I wont be angry if the club sell as i said dont know all the details but in my opinion, and quite a few others on here, it seems a much better deal for them than it would be for us.

I think trying to keep him till the summer due to Finland playing the Euros is an important point. If he performs well at that stage it will certainly add a few million to his value.
He might well have a blinder of a tournament and see his value rocket. He also might have a stinker and see interest plummet, or pick up a serious injury in Feb.

If we need to sell to balance the books, and we are offered something like £10 million, it would be negligent to reject it if the rejection was based on potential increases in 6 months, given the amount of things that might go wrong. If we could afford to gamble, or were not under pressure to sell, the gamble would be acceptable.

We will, at some stage soon, need to start cashing on on a player every season or so. There will be bedlam on here when it starts :D

What you want and what Rangers want are planets apart, thankfully.

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is looking to strengthen his side and Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara is already on the club’s shortlist.

According to Football Insider, Leeds are monitoring Kamara’s situation and have already sent scouts to watch him during Rangers 2-0 Europa League win over Porto.
The Gers have been in fantastic form this season. They are currently level on points with league leaders Celtic in the Scottish Premiership and are also level on points with Young Boys who are top of Group G in the Europa League.

Kamara has put in some impressive performances, particularly in the Europa League, for boss Steven Gerrard this campaign and as a result the Liverpudlian is expecting several clubs to try and pry the midfielder away from Ibrox in Janaury.

The report states that while Leeds have not ruled out making an approach in the January window, they actually see the 24-year-old as a transfer target for next summer.
Rangers reportedly want more than £8million for Kamara, which would see them earn a significant profit on the player who only joined the club in January this year.
Kamara was in the process of running downhill contract with Dundee United last season before Rangers managed to sign the player for just £50,000.
The Finn is a product of Arsenal’s academy, but only managed to make one appearance for the Gunners before joining Dundee on a free transfer in 2017.

Glen Kamara only joined Rangers in January of this year for £50,000

Despite having not been at the club for long Kamara has already established himself as an important player in Rangers’ midfield alongside Steven Davis and Ryan Jack.
And due to his mobility and distribution it is clear to see why Bielsa would feel such a player could easily fit into his current side.
Kamara has already played 20 games this season, which takes his overall tally for the club to 36 appearances.

Glen Kamara has been in fantastic form this season.
But Rangers are not the only club who could end up losing a midfielder in the next window as Leeds star Kalvin Phillips is attracting a lot of attention from top-flight teams.
The 23-year-old is a key member of Bielsa’s side and has already been looked at by several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.
However, Leeds have said that the player is not for sale and have already rejected a £27m bid for the midfielder last summer, after which Phillips was rewarded with a new five-year deal with the Yorkshire club.

Dundee Utd?
Who writes this?
A 12 year old school kid!!

Leeds can take a flying duck to themselves especially for that price
Hes a proven international player and the bidding should start at 20 million
No longer are our players going on the cheap

Surely we would not sell a player who will appear at the Euro's and maybe boost his value massively, we wouldnt would we?

£10M and up plus a 20% sell on clause and it's a deal.

Always liked Kamara and recommended him at every chance i got on here so will feel sad personally to see him gone.
