Majestic. New Gers song

Like the chorus part which could catch on for a quick chant at the games.
>Raise the blue flag up high
Derry's walls is our cry
No surrender
With the badge on my breast I'll sing Simply the Best

I don't think you could isolate that part of the song and repeat it. I also don't think the whole song could be used, unless it was played at Ibrox and fans sung along. Even then I'm not sure.

Great lyris. Didn't like the production done on it but that's easily changed and I could easily see a crowd of bears singing part of it
Have you heard the original, is that why you mention the arrangement?

Mibbe not one for matchdays but id cettainly buy it for my collection of tunes
That is our intention to write and record some songs for a CD. Here is another wee snippet of a song, it's only recorded on mobile hence the poor sound quality..

Edmiston Drive

There's a place I hold so special
Since my father took my hand
And took me on a journey
That is where my dream began

In all its glory and it's splendour
It is a such a sight to see
And every time my heart grows fonder
And it keeps on calling out to me

I've been walking down Edmiston drive all my life
To the home of the greatest underneath that Govan sky
I'll keep walking down Edmiston drive all my days
To the home of my heroes and where my heart remains

When the stadium is roaring
There's a magic in the air
I'm sure there is no finer moment
When you are a Teddy bear

I've seen the days of glory
Shared the heartache and shared pain
But the magic of The Rangers
Always brings me back again

I've been walking.....

I would love this guy to take on a lot more of the suggestions we get for Rangers songs. He has so much vocal and musical talent
A couple of years ago JulesScotia put a video together with the Struts as the background music. Not talented musically myself but I always thought the lyrics and tune could be adapted to a Rangers song.

Think it was called - It could have been me.

You never know.

Just short of 28,000 views of this song and the only criticism is about the acoustics overpowering the vocals. I know there will be plenty don't like it. But the majority seem to. Delighted #majestic

I own up I tried to get it going on Twitter, but I don't know how it works. All I do know is it flopped :D
Vocals need to be belted out, power rather than placement !

Worth another go ?

It might be a good song for a club/pub singalong but it’s never going to catch on at games . There’s no chorus or repetition which is a basic must for any football chant to take off inside grounds .
Agree, it's a good song but too wordy to catch on these days.

First time seeing this thread. For me this is a much better song than Majestic. Least this one tells a good story and is catchy.

past 1 defender, 2 defender, 3 defender four
when alfie sets his sights on goal you know he's going to score
he only cost a million, the boy can score for fun
come on el bufalo lets have another one

alfredo, alfredo, alfredo, alfredo

not going to happen just thought it was catchy :)

Won’t catch on at games, simply because not enough people make an effort to learn song lyrics or join in. I can see this being a thing at events.

Great stuff, really enjoyed that. As has been previously mentioned, it will be even better once its produced in a professional studio. It will then be truly Majestic!

Written by @robandmundt This is only a sound check video recording

Many promised to record this and let me down, this guy came through. He is so talented. Quality and Majestic

There's a sight for sore eyes
Down Edmiston Drive
It's majestic
It must be the most beautiful thing
That I ever have seen
When the teddy bears score
And the Ibrox crowd roar
It's electric
And I don't have to tell you
The 'Gers are the world's greatest team

Raise the blue flag up high
Derry's walls is our cry
No surrender
With the badge on my breast I'll sing Simply the Best

See the name of Bill Struth on the stadium roof shining proudly
Together we stand the best in the land
Follow on

The red brick facade where dreams they are made is iconic.
Such an honour it is to climb those marble stairs
Greig, Miller, Brand, Jardine, Durrant weaved their magic
You can search the world over you'll find nothing compares.

Love it!!

Love the the lyrics and tune but it needs a catchy chorus belween the verses. It’s like a nice meal that just needs seasoning to make it a great feast.
Usually I slaughter new song suggestions but not this one. Well done to all involved.
I'd agree with you completely here great sone, but to be something belted out during a match needs a catchy chorus that is easy for everyone to pick up on.

We really need to move away from the chronic keyboard background music. We need re recordings of Rangers songs and loyalist ones for that matter with actual musicians playing.
