Hugh Burns v Sheep mid 80's. The game was a rough house and the ref (George Smith IIRC) called the captains together and spoke to them. He must have said next challenge was a red. Shuggie put a heavy challenge and was sent off. It was his first tackle of the game and he left the pitch in tears. There was another red card in the first half, maybe Paterson, that led to a mini invasion from the enclosure.

The most stupid red card was Bobby McKean in 1975 for arguing about a throw in.

I was at game but missed that went to get food, stumped when he never came out for 2nd half and the brugge player was getting booked, man next to me filled me in.
