This is correct, I work in the industry and it’s all gearing towards this.
How long do you think it will be before they stop scheduled broadcasting and everything is on demand?

At least 5 years but it’s comingHow long do you think it will be before they stop scheduled broadcasting and everything is on demand?

He’s gonna have some difficult conversations when they enter the UK properly, at the moment he uses Sky here and DAZN in the US, he’s gonna have to bin Sky you’d imagineHearn is a major player in this outfit.
Pronounced Da Zone apparently
I was raging when BT got the Champions League coverage but their coverage has been class and I knew I needed BT for some of our league and cup games anyway
So how many have they lost then?
Champions League and La Liga are the only 2 I could think that were decent for Sky
I pay $150 for it here in Canada. Really good service to be honest.
All EPL games, Champions and Europa League games, Serie A, all NFL games and other stuff like boxing, etc.
Have the app on my TV for it but easily cast on to a TV and I also get it on all my devices (phone, Ipad, laptop, etc).
Picture quality is excellent.
I was very wary of DAZN but have found it to be worth the money for sure.
Both big losses also no coverage of any major European League is another piss take.
could you vpn the use of it from the uk?
would you need an address in North America to get this deal??
Do you know (I know you know ) the split for each tournament? Given the differences in prize money I'd imagine it's very, very heavily weighted towards UCL.Comes as no surprise
While this just for the Champions League they still have to announce who have secure UEFA Europa League and the new 3rd tournament UEFA Conference League rights
The quoted £1.2bn is what BT paid for both Champions League and Europa League rights 2018-2021

Spotify stopped people downloading music and Netflix/Prime probably stopped a lot of people pirating film and television. Something like this could become a Spotify of sport.
Get all these things to %^*&.
An absolute EU clusterfuck this entire thing. There was no need to break up Sky's dominance, it was good for the consumer, in spite of the bullshit they peddled about lack of competition. Where it used to cost one subscription to watch all the football, you're now at about 5. Absolute pish.
IPTV for this bear, i get Dazn for hee haw
Even if you removed the competition laws, Sky would still be going the way of the dodo. All that would happen is another big company such as Google or Amazon would outmuscle them and buy up all the rights.Get all these things to %^*&.

I just can't afford to pay 60/70 a month to sky, and then 20 odd for BT as well as amazon prime /netflix etc. It's too much.If everyone does that, then nobody can do it.

Not so refreshing when the £35 charge comes out each month. If sky do win it back they need to improve their coverage. BTs has been refreshing, apart from Rob Mclean, Michael stewart and chris sutton obviously.
£35 a month for BT sport? I can get it for £18 on virgin I believe. Not so refreshing when the £35 charge comes out each month.
Sky customers get shafted big time. They are partnering up in 2020 to make it part of a Sky sub though so hopefully works out better. You can probably get it even cheaper on Virgin. When I had Virgin it was included in my package.£35 a month for BT sport? I can get it for £18 on virgin I believe.
