The Botoxed Bint is an Emloyment Law Solicitor and has studied Law, so should know that he is talking pish, but she agrees with him, then asks why the cases were treated differently in relation to how fast the SFA acted.
1. Bolingoli left the country. Upon his return he should have self-isolated, but he didn't. As a result he breached the bubble, then returned to it. He trained with team-mates, putting them at risk of catching and spreading the virus. Thus, everybody else in the bubble had to self-isolate immediately for 14 days, as per the rules at that time and it had to be dealt with quickly. It should be noted that the 14 day period of self-isolation for anyone who had been in contact with Bolingoli was a legal requirement and nothing to do with the SFA. The Aberdeen players were dealt with in a similar fashion as they had also returned to training and re-entered the bubble.
2. Our 5 had a meal with partners, the presence of the partners meaning that the bubble was broken. Which is crazy, given that the 5 players would have done nothing wrong if they eaten at home with their partners and the risk would have been no greater. (If any of the females had Covid, they would have passed it onto their partner anyway and they would in turn have taken it into training, so the risk level was the same). However, the rules state that our players broke the bubble albeit in a different manner to Bolingoli. The main difference though, is that none of our players returned to the bubble, so did not put any other players at risk and our games continued as normal, whilst the players involved self-isolated. Due to not returning to the bubble, our 5 did not require to be dealt with immediately.
These are the facts that I'm sure the Botoxed Bint Lawyer is aware of, but rather than explain the reasons, she is clearly happy to play along and put her professional reputation on the line in order to appease the paranoid masses.
