Porteous Tackle

Pedant loyal but a "Reckless Challenge" is punishable by a yellow card. It should have been a red for endangering an opponent due to the speed and height of the challenge.

At the very least it should have been his second yellow as the intent on Morelos at the half way line warranted a caution.

‘Out of control’ reckless challenge.
Who was the 4th Official.....remember when Jack got sent of v Killie he intervened to say it should be red.

Mate he's that late it should have been an off-the-ball incident.

It's assault not a challenge.

The big dirty bastard tried to halve Alfie too when he spun away to build the attack that led to Tavs fresh air shot

Porteous lunged in and missed Alfie.

If he connects he is getting a sore one

Alfie then gets clattered by Ambrose as he released a pass to Candeias

No yellow cards for either challenge on Alfie

Craig Thomson is a useless big cheating bastard

How many Rangers players has he red carded?

Guy is a c.unt

So in the last year we have had
Porteous -Yellow Card
Clare - Foul
Shinnie - Yellow Card
Ferguson - Foul
McGinn - Yellow Card
Allan - Yellow Card
All the above have been acknowledged as clear Red Card Challenges, yet we are favoured and there is not an agenda against us.

Then compare how Jack can get a red for his tippy-tappy feet, and Morelos goes off for about any reason imaginable - and you see how we are being held to completely different standards.

It was a red card challenge. The no penalty decision was a mistake as well. While the team missed chances and need to take responsibility for dropping points, the referee is just as culpable. Another day the penalty is given, Tav converts and we’re all happy. When can we have VAR?

The poets wont want VAR as it will show up 'mistakes'.

The easiest red card decision an impartial referee could ever make, absolutely no intent to play the ball but then again it was Thomson. An utter disgrace once again. As was his decision not to award a penalty.

Exactly what i thought, he walked off then when he finally started walking to ref he had a smirk on his face
A few refs have booked one of our players for he walking a way shite. Thompson is just a blatant cheat.. The guy that fouled our player just before Couilbaly was taken out was also a yellow card as was Ambrose foul on Morelos at the Tav chance, and so was the c*nt that tried to do him at the halfway line after he skinned him a dullion.

Only started watching Rangers this season, nornally just Liverpool in prem but that is 100 percebt straight red in prem, commentators talked crap, say it as it is, reckless with intent to hurt the man, and a country mile away from the ball, then to walk away... ffs i couldnt actually believe it. And when he went to take Morelos out, it is irrelevant that he didnt manage it, in prem ref goes back to him and certain yellow.
And stone wall pen, arm in unnatural position and made himself big, thats exactly how rule book says its a pen. But TBH apart from finishing i loved the way Rangers played, was great to watch, finishing poor but creating like that and more wins than not

Our finishing would have improved?

I think there is a fair chance we would have scored with the penalty given Tavs records so yes I think our finishing would have improved. No guarantee mind and the way it went last night there was every chance we would have missed that as well!

Refs are fukcen disgraceful.
Straight red. No questions
Stonewall penalty. We must do something about these decisions. Game changers nearly every game. Corrupt sfa.

Seriously how can a referee have a perfect view of that and not produce a red. Gerard is 100% correct if that is a Rangers player he quite simply is off the park. A farcical decision coupled with an equally farcical blatant penalty.

We certainly squandered enough chances to win two or three games tonight but if the referee had done his job properly we would have walked away with three points.

Them with ten men and a stonewall denied penalty and the points were ours but due to the ref and his cohort linesmen we only got one!

W.A.T.P.

Would add May on Jack.

This guy is the new Fyvie.

A prick of a young man who will be washed up and skint by the time he is 32.

Even if Thomson only considered the tackle a yellow, the wee fud's reaction merited a 2nd yellow!
I felt he should have got a 2nd yellow for not going to the ref to get the first yellow. Like Morelos in Russia.
