Match Thread Rangers v Hearts - 15:00 Sunday - Premier Sports

Would you say his pelters and encouragement had a positive impact on Hearts' performance ?
Or does that not matter?
Can’t say but they were in the game until the 2nd goal. Point is he’s a leader on the field, something we often lack imo.

To be fair to the fishing guy, I'm pretty sure he was a bluenose.
My uncle goes fishing, and he's got a ticket in CR1.

He didn't go for fish. It was the Clyde. All you'll get there is jonny bags and cholera.

Just did it to get away from his missus.

Not my thing. I prefer a shed, or a hospital waiting room, or locking myself in a cupboard.

Saving up for a skip in the country.

Just found out ambulance wait time is 6hrs. Going to complain to parliament. If they'd made info clear I'd have called an hour before kick-off.

Socialist healthcare gives not a jot for my packed social schedule.

Would love for Rangers to comment on the abysmal performance of the referee. His treatment of Tod Cantwell was an embarrassment.
Pulling us up for an imaginary foul when we took a quick throw was shocking.
He didn’t see a foul because there wasn’t one so what was his thinking?
It’s a rhetorical question of course.

Lundstrom passing was not very good.
Plus points, he is available to anyone wanting rid, every throw in it’s him running to the thrower.
Gives the ball away but maybe no more than others.
I was pretty critical in my HT and post match comments partially because of some very poor decision making with both pass selection and definitely execution. Still turning the ball over with five and ten yard unpressured passes which is inexcusable. Lundstram had more than his fair share.

There’s been an obvious lack of confidence in the team but we deserved to win the game today and hopefully we get a positive reaction to it and finish the season strongly. We need the flair players like Cantwell to be brave in the last six games, like he was today. The moments of magic he produces are game changers. Who knows how it all falls out.

At times our defence had the two wingers covering the full back areas, and the full backs tucked in nearer the box; it kind of forced Hearts to go wide more, both strengthening us through the middle where we have been vulnerable, and hindered the Hearts attack mostly.

A good performance. Thought Cantwell, Balogun and Dio were excellent. Tav, Sterling and Dessers deserve some praise also. Not forgetting Super Jack Butland in goal.

Big 6 games ahead. Hope Sima injury doesn't keep him out.

I'm gonna go against the grain and say Silva was an improvement on Matondo when he came on. If its a straight choice between the two I'm starting Silva, as poor as he's been recently. Its not a great choice.

That miss/stumble though. Bizarre in the extreme.

Could anyone tell me if any Scottish clubs enter the group sections of the three European competitions
There are no group stages anymore. It’s a League format for all three competitions if you make it that far.

Title winners go straight into the Champions League leagues stages.

Runners-up go to Champions League 3rd qualifying round.

Third in League will go to Europa League Play-off round (due to OF Cup Final) - guaranteed at least Conference League league stages.

Fourth in League will go to Conference League 3rd qualifying round.

Fifth in League will go to Conference League 2nd qualifying round.

That’s the midfield we need to play with for the rest of the season, for the first time in how long we actually had a 6, an 8 and a 10 in midfield and it all clicked.

I agree that Silva brings loads more than Matondo. For me, Matondo will never progress as a player as he's simply too thick when it comes to football. Utterly clueless.

Silva is doing a job for us, he's a striker playing wide and we should remember that when criticising him.

I'd like to see him play in the Dessers role at some point, give him the chance to show his qualities in his normal position.

I get what you are saying, but I'm not sure he has the right skillset to play as a 9 in this Rangers team. Might work for him elsewhere but not in the way we set up I don't think.
