He was good, and had the 2 assists, but brilliant is pushing it by some distance.
Poor again today, and they are outweighing his good games this season. Said earlier in season he should/deserve to play through and find form, but time for bench when Roofe is back imo

I don’t care if he’s always “showing for the ball”. He’s showing for it in all the wrong places and taking no responsibility to make things happen.
All he does is pass the ball inside to Kamara or outside to Barisic.

Frustrating day for him, nothing came off for him. Shame we only had Barker to bring on. Needs competition to keep him on his toes. That's why we are bringing in Wright.

I was waiting on this thread and I agree, I got hounded earlier this season for saying we've not got 7m worth from him yet. And that still stands. Problem is we've brought in Jones, Hastie and Barker who aren't even competition for him. This is where my worry of bringing Wright is, do I f*ck want another bench warmer.
I don't think the pitch helped him.
I also think sometimes he tries to do something exceptional rather than simple. e.g. you don't have to always beat a man 3 times, makena yard and get the cross or shot away

He is capable of being brilliant but doesn't do it anywhere near enough. He should be dropped.

Far too many subpar games, far too many. He beat himself more than he beat any Motherwell players today. He needs to find some sort of consistency, it’s frustrating because his peak level is very high, higher than most.

Ryan Kent running the ball out of play drives me insane. Even at one point, he got into a 2v1 situation with Aribo overlapping and rather than wait for the overlap Kent put his heed down and bolted out of play.

playing against packed defences isnt his game , he comes into his own when we hit on the break as we often do in europe .these kind of games id play defoe or itten before him
