SCOTLAND'S Euro 2020 campaign was statistically the WORST of any tournament where they played three games in their group, stretching back 63 years.
Steve Clarke's side exited the tournament after collecting just one point in three games following home defeats to Czech Republic and Croatia and a draw in England.
It meant Scotland have now failed to qualify from a group in 11 major tournaments.
Only three times before at major tournaments where Scotland have played three group games, have they managed to pick up just one point.
In the World Cup in 1958, Scotland only got one point and when Alex Ferguson was in the caretaker manager's role in Mexico in 1986, and in 1998 when Craig Brown's side played in France, Scotland only picked up a solitary draw and two defeats too.
At Euro 2020, Scotland had a goal difference of minus four after two-goal defeats to the Czechs and Croats and scored just once.
In 1958, Scotland drew with Yugoslavia and suffered narrow defeats to Paraguay and France to end up with a goal difference of minus two, while scoring four goals.
Mexico 86 saw the Scots lose their first two games to Denmark and West Germany before drawing with Uruguay.
They also only managed to score one goal, but their goal difference was only minus two.
And in France, Brown's boys drew with Norway in between losing to Brazil and Morocco.
Their goal difference was also minus four, but unlike Clarke's side, they managed to score two goals.
In all other tournaments with three games, Scotland have collected more than a point, but still exited at the first round with varying degrees of heartache.
The 1954 World Cup saw Scotland play only two games in their group, which they lost.
