SPFL to investigate the postponement of the game

The SPFL is that tinpot that it’ll have rules covering specific things ie away tickets, pitch standards etc but can almost guarantee they won’t have anything in the rules regarding sanctions for breaking those rules.
They have rules on away tickets and don't even enforce them !!
I would expect the same situation here.

If the Scottish football authorities keep p*ss*ng off paying partners - cinch and now Sky - we’ll end up losing more of them. Mind you, the SPL going PPV might not be a bad thing. :)

Unless I've missed another postponement, "All Clubs SPFL meeting",
rearranged from 27 Feb is supposed to be tomorrow?

Fine opportunity for illiciting Member Clubs views on what should happen about Scumdee ground failures/mis-management.

Does the ground have security cameras?

On my previous theme of conspiracies I’d be asking to see the overnight footage.

Gordon Strachan was probably out watering the pitch all night the wee shite.

Sean Batty will be fined for getting the weather forecast wrong.☔
Rangers will be fined for criticism of a fellow club.
Dundee will be applauded for magnificent effort trying to get game on.
Dear Mr 4 x 2
BBC here, we'd like to discuss an employment opportunity with you.

Hey Mr Imperial Wood Size
PA to Humza script writer here........

;)

The thing is when will that pitch be fixed to a standard to be able to play a game on it, it looks absolutely ruined now until better weather arrives.

After a month and a spend of several thousand pond we can expect the explosive conclusion.....
" it was the heavy rain. Totally unpreventable".

Apart from the late call off, they can't stop the rain

Just a waste is time. I'd rather play on decent day as well

They will be waiting for Peters command on this.

Not a chance they didn’t know that there might have been a chance the game would be in doubt, added to that the state of the pitch anyway. Plus, the fact that Dundee are the little bitch club of the rattlers all ties in to make a nice wee lovey dovey set up where they may have decided that it’s in the rattlers best interests that the game doesn’t go ahead as planned.

Then, when it comes to rearranging the game, let’s do it on a week of the OF game, putting our preparations into overdrive while that lot get a free week to relax and prepare properly.

All we have to do is beat them on the pitch and let them try and do their level best to derail what we are trying to do off the park.

It will be a truly sweet title victory for us when we get there in the end.

Prob find sky will be due compensation for games not shown if they can't be replayed when it suits their schedule.

If compo is due it should come fully or of dubbed pocket.

The other side is they show our games to then catch those in the games after...... how many people have went and done something else dropping viewing figures
I would presume that the contract with Sky will definately have clauses that see some compensation come their way if they can’t show a match.

Edit: If a stadium can’t host a match or a team doesn’t turn up then the league, and then the clubs will owe a penalty.
If Sky’s equipment doesn’t work or transmission fails then they will owe a penalty.
Each club will be contractually bound by terms along these lines when the agreement with the league is signed.

Dundee have dropped a bollock on this - to know that a televised match was on at midday on the Sunday and not protect the pitch adequately is absolute amateur hour.

Nelms to Scottish Football Authorities.

Now Mr Doncaster you know how we helped you out in Covid season.
After the vote was concluded and it went against Celtic in awarding them the league we were persuaded to change our vote.
This collusion enabled you to award the title to your masters.

If it wasn’t for us this wouldn’t have happened and how would you explain that to Mr Lawwell.!

Now about the piffling matter of about 25% of our home matches being called off due to our pitch as you know it’s Mother Nature not any dereliction of duty on our part.

Nothing to see but we’ll have to give you a severe warning and a small fine.
Case closed m.

Celtic wanted us to play the game then. Presumably on the back of the injuries and Benfica game they fancied us to slip up.

In this day and age it is absolutely ridiculous and downright embarrassing that a top tier, professional football club cannot get its pitch in playing condition due to rain from the PREVIOUS day.

I wouldn't bet on the rearranged game going ahead either.

The league needs to stop this nonsense and prevent clubs from penny pinching on these matters.
Install proper high tech surfaces with proper drainage or get yourself to f uck to the lower leagues.

Going to go against the grain here, and say they'll likely punish Dundee. Fourth call off this season, fucked with the telly deal and don't seem to have taken any steps to remedy the situation. In fact seem to be blaming, 'mother nature' as if it's a surprise to anyone that it sometimes pishes with rain for 24 hours straight in Scotland.

Sky are likely giving the suits a very hard time over it. What's an appropriate punishment for brazen and consistent rule violations? That's the question.

The appropriate punishment should be a forfeit and a 3-0 win for us. In reality it will be some undisclosed fine that'll get wiped out on appeal.

@blueaway worth keeping an eye on this for your legal challenge mate. Could be some good evidence to add to your stellar work already regarding googling millimetres of rainfall.

In which case the condition of that pitch would be effect on a great many pitches.

Not so sure of this.

The Scottish game basically has been brought into disrepute considering this is the fourth time this has happened with the same club responsible.

The incompetents that run this league have to be seen to do something as they are a laughing stock in the eyes of world football.
They'll probably fine our manager for bringing the game into disrepute for the statement he made.

The rules state that an effective and efficient drainage system to be in place so the pitch can not become unplayable due to flooding.
The very least we should be demanding is a date of our choice for the replay at the most a 0-3 and 3 points

You are getting your wires crossed mate, the current First Minister was the Cabinet Secretary for Justice when all of the evidence was misplaced - SPFL would have had a hand in it no doubt, but that seems more like a police investigation issue.
I stand corrected, Bob

SPFL Investigation Notes:

Investigator called Peter who advised no further action required as the current league table suited them and was taking a little heat off Brendan.

Investigation Closed. Statement released regarding unusual and unpredictable weather and clubs working together in future.

The win should be awarded simple as that, fcking outrageous 4 times this season
People need to stop these silly demands for points being awarded. Just imagine if they were playing the Mhanks after the split. That scumbag MD would be out flooding the pitch ffs

This is a great point, and one I hope the club looks at; it was Rangers, after all, that was mostly inconvenienced by this.

That would not be fair on the 3 other clubs who have also had games at Dens called off.
Their fault for not calling them out, the rules state that they are obligated to have a playing surface that is fit to play on,and when was fairness a top priority from the charlatans that run our league

They did call them out.

Well, I know for a fact that St Johnstone did.

Points could potentially be docked for Dundee but none should be awarded to the other teams.

it should be automatic forfeiture of points they will have no choice but to get the pitch sorted for next year then and any other club with a shit playing surface

this league is an embarrassment at the best of times now its barely good enough to be amateur

IF we get a forfeited match of 3-0 and then won the league by a point, there would be hell to pay from celtic fans claiming we should have lost the forfeited game. It would be a mental place.

OR

If we lose the league by a single goal in goal difference we could then moan that the 3-0 forfeit wasn't fair and we may have won by four or more goals etc.

Find a suitable time to replay it.
