This one from DJ must be up there.
A deft move and devastating finish.
From the skill of Sandy on his own bye-line, the ball is whipped in the net from 20 yards within 15 seconds.
In terms of importance maybe Gazza's second against them in the league cup final played at the piggery
I remember being mesmerised by this goal as an eight year old.
That has to be one of our best cup final wins ever.Gordon Durie's first goal in the 1996 Scottish Cup Final, great move started back on the left side of our own half finished off by a superb volley from Durie following a Laudrup cross.
I do feel a wee bit sorry for Durie - a hat trick, but the game gets known as the Laudrup final (rightfully so, but....)That has to be one of our best cup final wins ever.
Didn't Gascoigne play more in a holding role in that game? I don't know if I remember that correctly, but I'm sure he wasn't so attacking in that game.I do feel a wee bit sorry for Durie - a hat trick, but the game gets known as the Laudrup final (rightfully so, but....)
The winner. This one at 32 seconds in ,think it`s from around 1980,an absolute peach.
Hately and McCoist in total harmony.
Exactly what I was going to post.
The first goal by Laudrup. Any excuse to watch the 5-1 highlights again. Laudrups finest game in a blue jersey.
To this day I still can’t believe Ritchie was only booked for that foul on gazza. Last man, late, high, no doubt he got the sympathy vote that day

Not so much a holding role - we pretty much bypassed the midfield in that game with 5 at the back going direct to Laudrup & Durie. Fergie & McCall were along side Gazza, but I think our tactics and the fact he was knackered from the season were a factor. Fergie came off at HT, and the other subs were Bo Andersen & Petric, so he played the 90 when he probably shouldn't.Didn't Gascoigne play more in a holding role in that game? I do recall Gazza taking a ball wide near the Tynecastle main stand touch line going on a run and bending it into the bottom corner. Was a helluva run, move and finish.
Would love to see it again.
