I knew him in my teens as both of us were in the Labour Party at the time. A bit over consumed with politics and at that point I only joined because I fancied a girl who was a member

However he was ok to talk about football then and never gave me any grief for being a Rangers fan. Even though he was older I would have told him to piss off if he did.
However even back then he pursued the women something rotten and I know a couple of people he was pumping.
I remember his views about nationalism and independence back then were similar to mine. He was an internationalist like socialists are supposed to be on this issue.
However I think after his years of protests and being in jail he decided %^*& this I am even more going to start caring about one thing, myself.
He went from a tolerant but over consumed in his political interests type of guy with principles who tried to help his local people to someone who sells his principles and political beliefs to try and follow wherever the political wind was blowing.
He obviously noticed how easily milked the republican £ is in Scotland and out the window his principles went.
From someone who when I knew him said he didn’t like Celtic anymore due to the racist abuse of Walters and was best mates with Billy Davies.
It makes you think what did he ever really believe , has his principles always been an act?
That video even Jonathan Watson would think is a bit too much if he was taking the piss.
He would shout a lot when doing his stuff when using a megaphone however he spoke at a normal level. Now everything is on shout mode, the man is fucking ridiculous and has no level he will not go to in pursuit of the Queen’s shilling.
From someone who seemed to care about the working classes, to a shell of a man who chases the nationalist and republican coin and sells his principles.
