It was claimed Bruno had refused to sit on the bench as a substitute at Ibrox for the Hamilton game.

The story started with freelance journalist and Celtic fan Ewing Grahame writing in the Times (of London) – the allegation spread quickly both in the media and on social media.

The problem was the story was simply wrong. In fact, Alves had injured his back in training and has still to resume training.  Bruno was in the stand on Saturday watching the game and attended the Rangers Charity Ball on Saturday night.

When contacted by the club, The Times accepted story was wrong and apologised for it in this morning’s paper.

The Daily Record also ran with the story and have now taken it down from their website  – they have admitted it is wrong but are refusing to apologise.

What is their problem?
