Spotted a lad on Saturday, that I was mates with at school, who was giving it the big'un with one of the Hearts supporters clubs. Weird thing was when I last saw him, at 19yo, he had been a lifelong Celtic fan o_O

Hearts have been infested by SNP anti British “ sevcopaths” the same as most other clubs. It was trendy for a few years and every club joined in. The ones still doing it just look like weird lunatics now that we’ve been to a European final, won the Scottish cup and won the title unbeaten mind you:shh::))

But in general their support are far more aligned with us than any other in Scotland especially the older ones
 
I worked in Rosyth dockyard for a good number of years, workforce had a lot of Hearts fans and every single one of them I had any dealings with despised us. A real hatred towards Rangers, they especially hated any Fifers in the workforce who supported us and there were many.

I remember going to their place with a mate that was a Hearts supporter, was sat in their stand, this was back about 1992. We got beat 2-1 and after Brain Laudrup scored our equaliser, two other bears sat to my left took dogs abuse, to the point the Hearts supporters sat around them got the stewards down to kick them out and as they were getting escorted out, they were spat on and called every name going. That was it for me, as far as our association with them was concerned. And my attitude towards them has only got worse throughout the years, to the point again, that I put them up with the scum from Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee Utd etc, now.

They all love the “ your club died” stuff because they want recognition for being “ fan owned” as if the fans saved them.

They didn’t, they’ve been a newco since 1905 then again under Romanov.

A once great club has become tin-pot. It's not my intention to cause gratuitous offence e.g. to Jambo James, but that's my view based on the evidence even before Romanov.

Well, Edinburgh so technically yes haha you have to remember that all the refs are in favour of the ‘ugly sisters’ from Glasgow as far as the salt n sauce brigade are concerned. I think it was more the fact that blaming the ref before kickoff was a non-starter for them that pissed on their parade, and so it proved with a clear penalty denied for RANGERS at the end of normal time.

Due purely to our efforts in Europe, which have they have booed every step of the way, they have guaranteed group stage football this year. That provides them with a big income boost next season and an opportunity to improve their squad. They have us to thank for that but I don’t think they realise it.

The caants over on jkb seem to have weird recollections of the 1976 Cup final. As history tells us DJ actually scored before the official 3.00 pm KO time and a fair number of Rangers fans in the hearts end were pelted with bottles as soon as they started celebrating.
We were in that end but only managed to get in about the 5 minute mark. By then the Rangers fans were retaliating including by catching the fartz missiles and throwing them back.
If you listen to those delusional pricks though - as usual - it as always the Rangers fans' fault and we started it.

I was one of the artillery men and i can assure you we used more ordnance than the Hearts fans did although they did start it but we finished it
 
The only thing I would be annoyed about on Sat if I was a Hearts fan would be the awful tactics they deployed. Tried to suck the lift out of the game, but made no attempt to win a cup final?? No shots on target? Pathetic.
I said to my son at FT of the 90 I fancied us to win in extra time as a few of the Hearts players looked absolutely spent. The boy Atkinson could barely run. Was driving me mad when Kent started cutting inside as he kept running into traffic. Every time he went outside of him he skinned him every time.

I think Saturday really showed how far behind the rest of Scotland are in terms of us and them. Hearts are the 3rd best team in Scotland. Yet they couldn't beat a team who have played 65 games this season, lost a massive game on pens on the Wednesday night. The only reason it went to ET was because we didn't have a striker, Craig Gordon and some goal saving blocks. They didn't register a shot on target in 120 minutes, in a final. Even the game they drew 1-1 with us at Ibrox, that was because of an individual error and some glaring misses, even then the first half they didn't have one shot and barely got of their half. They got pumped off our B Team and lost heavily to Celtic the week before.

If we manage to get CL football this year its only going get worse for those teams because financially ourselves and Celtic will pull away from them completely especially with the current TV deal and that Whopper of a league sponsorship at 40k per season per club.
 
I had a conversation with one of them after the last old firm league cup final. He suggested that Celtic‘s offside winning goal was correctly allowed to stand because he was only ‘ marginally offside ‘.
This is an old boy in his 70’s, not some dickhead on an online forum.

It’s an east coast mentality and it gets worse as the years go by. Far worse since the Indy ref in 2014.

I’ve lived through in the west more than half my life now I think that’s what’s helped keep me on the (relatively) sensible side!

I know a few Hearts fans, most are sound and used to go on the Glasgow Hearts bus. I know 2 from Fife who are Stereotypes of the Jambo kickback forum

Ever since football became trendy and with the new type fan, we have all to be pleasant to each other.

The difference is, social media has produced the keyboard warrior firms. Always read, never seen. There's always been rivalries, some more so than others, but you go nosing around other fans forums, what do you expect? Well done chaps, was an honour playing you and losing.

Yeah the first sentence there is accurate.

I’ve said this a few times I think the support who are now early twenties who were either children or young teens in 2012 seem to have an acceptance of the reality that Rangers are Rangers and that’s that.

Now this is just my take, but I feel as though the newco brigade are so keen to push the ‘different club’ idea because in their heads it might somehow mean we can put ourselves in position as the second team in the country. Particularly when Rangers were sent down the leagues. Even IF Rangers were indeed a new club and started with 0 honours, within about 30-40 years you would be usurping us in overall honours quite comfortably.

Any one of our support who was saying ‘they’ve done well, that’s the first major final they’ve won’ should be pointed and laughed at.
