England is just made for a world cup and could host it with very little notice.
Agree, but Britain has probably got more chance of winning the Eurovision Song Contest than England has of ever hosting the World Cup finals.England is just made for a world cup and could host it with very little notice.
You missed off the SFA from your list
All that schmoozing and gloating about their powerful connections, and all for nothing
Mmmm......
a story that the scottish media scum should be all overAll that schmoozing and gloating about their powerful connections, and all for nothing
Everything they touch really does turn to sh*t, doesn't it
The problem is the non-Euro players. The Brazilians and Argies will still want their players, so the bigger European teams won't be full strength (unless the leagues observe an extended Winter break, but that still wrecks two seasons of football)Nations, especially European ones, should boycott the World Cup.
It sends so many messages in one manoeuvre;
People have died as a direct affect of this corruption, we won't accept that.
100's of clubs and leagues around the world will have to work around the World Cup schedule and teams will have players injured etc just to accommodate Blatter and his rich buddies.
Fifa don't have the game's best interests at heart and we shouldn't stand for it.
Change will only happen if we force it, unfortunately.
greedy bas@tard deserves jail, and qatar should the world cup taken off them
Mmmm......
Is it for nothing? They have had a never-ending catalogue of trouble at home and abroad, involving attacks of players, sectarian singing, fireworks/pyro, unacceptable banners and protest, yet all they have had are meaningless minor fines. All that schmoozing and gloating about their powerful connections, and all for nothing

They're now tainted by association. The current guys will be keen to disassociate themselves with friends of the previous corrupt regimeIs it for nothing? Others with far better records have faced far stiffer penalties for far less.
I’d saying having friends at UEFA has helped them hugely.
That’s before you even get to the absolutely disgraceful Sion and Legia Warsaw debacles that have handed them tend of millions of pounds and untold additional coefficient points.
No other club in Europe has had such favourable treatment.
Perhaps but their cosying up has paid off big time in the past. They're now tainted by association. The current guys will be keen to disassociate themselves with friends of the previous corrupt regime
If it were Rangers getting those benefits, their supporters would be bombarding Sion and Legia to get those cases reinvestigatedPerhaps but their cosying up has paid off big time in the past.
Not really, England had applied for it and would likely have got it if not for Qatar buying it. He's not saying give it to England for no reason.
Probably when he was taken into the inner sanctum of governing bodies. Corruption was rife so why not have some of it. Better in their eyes than resigning and being forgotten about.Remember this corrupt cnut suggested that the Champions League final be played in Paris every year.
Phenomenal player. I wonder where and when his head got turned? Turin during his playing days perhaps?
Everyone knows what'll happen here of course - this mob will close ranks quicker than the Charlies over Bheastgate.
Also didn't give a f.uck about the 39 Juve fans who died at Heysel as he wildly celebrated winning the cup, the prick was running about bare chested after the game FFS!44 lives lost so far because of this decision, disgusting prick.
Yes, his actions that night sum up the ‘man.’Also didn't give a f.uck about the 39 Juve fans who died at Heysel as he wildly celebrated winning the cup, the prick was running about bare chested after the game FFS!
This quote was also attributed to him only this year: “The ‘pearl’ was a phrase said to me under his breath by Platini at the airport: ‘More people are killed on the roads, why make such a fuss?’”
He said that enroute to a memorial service at Heysel.
‘His envelopes are thicker than ours.’The only surprising thing about this story is that FIFA has an Ethics Committee.
It's probably only England and Germany who have the infrastructure already in place to host it at such short notice so that might not be a bad shout. Long way to go before they even consider removing it from Qatar though.
Would either have the required number of larger stadia now that the tournament has expanded?Spain or Italy
Nice sunny summer football tournament. Brilliant.
Hopefully this is only to the first crack in the dam.
FIFA and UEFA are both can a disgrace, not to mention our own in Liewell’s pocket SFA.
Genuinely hope Platini does time and spills the beans on all the rest to shorten his sentence
