Celtic face threat of multimillion pound compensation claim(The Times)

I am sure in my young day as I recall it, when the CBC won anything C@#tic fc were quick to take all the accolades and in their own seedy way were only to happy to ram it down our throats.

Being the big two in Scotland over the years, didn't we in some respects try to mirror each other or in some other way try to out do each other?

Meaning you can't have it all your own way when things are good only to run away and hide when times are bad. From the forming of the CBC to today they are one of the same entity.

Why is there even a debate about this, everybody and their dog knows, Don't we! YES we do.

They only began distancing themselves from CBC when the police got involved

As you say they were quite happy to take and boast of the accolades and success of THEIR boys club up until that point.

Vancouver Whitecaps are also in a bit of trouble with a guy who coached their women's team harassing players.

Did that not involve the former kit man?

If so he was a direct employee of CFC so there was no defence really.
McCafferty I'm sure was this case
I'm not sure who the civil cases are against, there are people far more in the know than me.
Again though this is a case where an SPFL club admits liability & Scottish Football's governing bodies do not appear to have started any sort of investigation into what went on

And we meant to believe that celtic fc gave celtic boys club around £25k to change their name to St,Patricks out of the goodness of their hearts ..... Bless Them

why are those faces blanked out if they are already convicted?
It’s a good question. Basically the blanked out faces are facing more charges, and are involved in upcoming court cases.
The press are also restricted as the defence lawyers could state that their clients aren’t receiving a fair trial due to press reports.
Please believe that there is nothing more that we want in releasing everything we have, but it could affect the cases. We can’t jeopardise this in any way whatsoever.

Just outstanding guys, I sincerely hope that all your hard work pays off for the poor victims of this vile sporting institution.
I check back in on this thread regularly, and the info uncovered never fails to amaze me.
Thanks for the kind words. Believe me we have a lot more to come that has never been released into the public domain.
Once certain court cases are complete then we will show more. What we have we can assure you is in the correct hands.

They didn’t admit liability though TGF, this is the issue, and the basis of ‘separate entity’ and now ‘no formal affiliation’.

It’s also why they have NEVER APOLOGISED.

As the guys said they lost the Digby Brown case, but still fought the case based upon McCafferty abuse on a youngster we can’t name.

Ah but Grigio they have voiced “regret and sorrow” to victims of their paedo employees so that should suffice?
The scum are fast running out of any wriggle room and legal double speak, in no small part due to your heroic efforts my friend.

I always thought that too but, the BBC report on the 17/08/2019 states they did admit liability as does at least one newspaper who reported on it at the time

Big question ? Who were the cops that told Kevin Kelly to stick to his story? To me he blurted this out not realising he was incriminating himself.
What we have on Kelly has not been printed anywhere. It’s official documents that Spotlight have in our possession.
We can’t release it at the moment, but when we do then people will understand why we’ve held it back.
Nobody outside Spotlight has this information apart from ourselves and legal representatives.

Exactly TDO.

That’s still not accepting responsibility & saying we are responsible for this & apologise.

Game playing since 1888.

Celtic agree 'significant' compensation for sex abuse victim https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-49380349

The victim's lawyer, abuse specialist Kim Leslie, said: "For decades my client suffered as a result of McCafferty's abuse so above all else I'd like to pay tribute to him for the courage he has shown in stepping forward after coming to terms with what happened.

"Ever since McCafferty's abuse was exposed, Celtic FC remained firm in its defence and denial of responsibility.

"However, after thorough investigations I was able to present a robust case which resulted in the club admitting liability.
