Famous Rangers fans.

Considering she has been in Ibrox and there is photos of her with Willie Waddell inside Ibrox I would safely say she does know where we play!
And also her mother, the queen mother had a race horse many years ago called Ibrox.

He's not he said he stopped going to matches because he hated the bigotry and didn't want to become associated with it.
I don’t think Gillespie has ever been into football. He just pretended to support the Bheasts to be contrary and because it fitted in with his left wing champagne socialist posturing.

Who was the wee lad, somebody Jackson from Glasgow, was on one of those shows, X factor or maybe even pop idol, and the cameras owent to his house as part of the VT for the show. He had all rangers wallpaper. My mum disliked him till she saw that and voted like mad for him... :)) think he might have won it.

is James Arthur not a blue nose too? Or am I wrong

Met Escape
To Victory hero John Wark at a Liverpool legends thing and all he only spoke about was The Rangers, told me in great delight how he told them to '%^*& Off'...surprised how staunch he was! Don Hutchinson was there also, and also one of us!

He was on one of those ‘who do you think you are’ type programmes a few years ago and talked about his family being in the Orange Order/Masonic (can’t remember exact details) and basically shunning them and saying he wanted nothing to do with it.

I don’t recall him actually saying he was ‘ashamed’ but he was definitely distancing himself.
aye it was the orange his family were in,when they handed him his grandas sash, you would think it was a lump of shite the way his face went, then said he was not comfortable with handling this and had a wee rant about bigotry, the guy is a prick.

I thought they were all too scared to put their heads above the parapet, or ashamed, a la David Tennant.

Lulu certainly wasn't. She was in the same programme as Tennant a while later and when they spoke of her granny and her Orange roots she was far from ashamed. My first time at Ibrox in 1972 she was sitting a couple of rows behind me in the Main Stand (she was appearing at the Edmiston Club at the time). She takes a bit of stick for changing her accent and stuff but she's definitely not one to be ashamed of her background.

I remember that programme drove round Northern Ireland trying to find a catholic relative & when they handed him the collar eye as if they handed him a boa constrictor the look on the clown’s face
