Especially after Hickey going for 14mil earlier, we need to get as much as we can off these bastards down south10 Mill for aribo is daylight robbery. Such a low release clause

It’s a release clause, we won’t get any moreEspecially after Hickey going for 14mil earlier, we need to get as much as we can off these bastards down south
I know it’s a release clause but is it 10 upfront or is it in instalments? That’s what I mean by as much upfront as possibleIt’s a release clause, we won’t get any more
Ah okay mate apologies, I’d hope it’s 10 up front, or even if we strike a deal to include a sell onI know it’s a release clause but is it 10 upfront or is it in instalments? That’s what I mean by as much upfront as possible
Apart from scoring in a European final eh10 million is not too shabby, not sure how i feel about Aribo, he can be brilliant but hasn't kicked a ball since the African nations cup.
Well worth that media partnership payment when media outlets are breaking the stories anyway and being met with nonsense rebuttals like this that don’t make sense eh.Seems a bit of a ridiculous thing for the club to feed to fan media now.
I find it hard believe the club wouldn’t offer him a new deal, at least to get rid of the £10m release clause?Joe Aribo has not turned down a new Rangers contract
Picking up traction is the line he turned down a Rangers contract and that he will be leaving.

It's untrue.
That was a condition Aribo and his agent wanted when we signed him.Especially after Hickey going for 14mil earlier, we need to get as much as we can off these bastards down south
£10m max.Especially after Hickey going for 14mil earlier, we need to get as much as we can off these bastards down south
Played like a fiddle all over the shop. Fan media is supposed to be cynical and hold the club to account over issues, not just feed their line.Well worth that media partnership payment when media outlets are breaking the stories anyway and being met with nonsense rebuttals like this that don’t make sense eh.
Exact same, apologies for the way I worded my first post also mate, a shame joes going for that price but it is still good money for a year left on a contract I supposeAh okay mate apologies, I’d hope it’s 10 up front, or even if we strike a deal to include a sell on
The media and communications strategy is laughably bad.interesting that the club release this info to the fan media then later in the day he is as good as away to Southampton
Trying to get one over the media which I can understand but the reality is the fans don’t care whether he has turned down a contract or is not signing a contract it both leads to the same outcome
It’s what’s in the players contract. Not keen on this ‘total package’ chat regarding the £10m.
It’s an absolute fucking bargain, £10m up front or %^*& off and don’t waste our time.
Read my reply up there a bit mate I didn’t mean it like that meant is as in I hope it isn’t instalments and it’s 10 on the money upfront off them£10m max.
There were many on his case towards the end of last seasonYou mean like Goldson?
£10m is in the contract, Rangers can still demand and/or negotiate over how that £10m comes in.It’s what’s in the players contract.
Yeah he scored but done nothing else that night (like a few others ) but my point still stands, been poor since the ACN.Apart from scoring in a European final eh
Extremely naive.I may be naive, but Joe doesn’t strike me as someone who gets excited by money. I think he knows he has higher wages ahead, but when he goes, he goes to a big club with European ambitions.
No.A "total package" of £10M could be a lower fee but add-ons that take it up to that figure if he makes a certain number of appearances?
It’s what’s in the players contract.
He didn’t hit the heights from the first half of the season but he was by no means ‘poor’ for a guy who never got a rest.Yeah he scored but done nothing else that night (like a few others ) but my point still stands, been poor since the ACN.
Mate i agree that he can be fantastic but also infuriating at the same time. If he decides to stay then he gets my full support but if he feels he wants to move on then 10 million for a player who cost 400k is not too bad.He didn’t hit the heights from the first half of the season but he was by no means ‘poor’ for a guy who never got a rest.
Aribo will be a massive loss to us all over the park.
Yep, exactly that.A release clause of £10m up front is in his contract. Not, say, £5m up front and a bunch of add-ons making the total value up to £10m.
Big difference for us in terms of being able to reinvest some of the money in the squad. Not suggesting that’s what is actually happening here but there is a difference.
10 million is not too shabby, not sure how i feel about Aribo, he can be brilliant but hasn't kicked a ball since the African nations cup.

The release clause will be an up front fee but we could potentially be offered a package deal worth more than £10 million but with less of the fee up front.I’d like to think that these release clauses are pretty specific, ie a minimum amount up front.
What do I know, that’s for greater minds than me!
Read to me more like we’re open to less money up front if it meant more in instalments but maybe notA "total package" of £10M could be a lower fee but add-ons that take it up to that figure if he makes a certain number of appearances?
He probably told the club months ago that he has no intention of signing a new deal.I find it hard believe the club wouldn’t offer him a new deal, at least to get rid of the £10m release clause?
Gio must get All money
He has a release clause and in is the last year of his deal. These circumstances are dictating his fee.Yet Southampton are paying £12m upfront (rising to £14m) for an 18 year old with 1 first team appearance to his name - Roméo Lavia, Manchester City.
