A team looking like they think they’ve already won the league. There’s no excuse for not wanting it as much as the other team.

As much as it’s not the way these days; this team needs a rocket up the arse.

Missing Jack for a few games. There have been signs in the last few weeks.
Sloppy, pedantic depending on the opposition making mistakes. That won't do here.
 
That was as bad as it gets, performance wise.

If we had went in 3 down we could have had no complaints.

It’s the biggest 45 minutes of Gerrards managerial career here.
 
The only decent part of that half is we are not losing, we have been awful and they are well on top.
Dominating a half means nothing if you don't take advantage of it so get in to them the second half and sicken them with a morelos winner.

But he is leaving our midfield short and exposed. He needs to push up ffs. He frustrates the fook out of me when he is like this.

If their fullbacks were even half as good as ours at crossing we'd be a few goals down. Gerrard will need to sort this s##t show out.
 
Too many players not involved. Aribo, Alfie, Kent, Roofe. We are very lucky to be drawing right now. We have got to close the space the way they are pressing us. Do it back to them or else we will regret it. We can’t keep riding our luck. I’m not angry with how we are playing, I just want every one of them to get involved in the match. Far too many standing off.

We are a yard behind in MF.

Tav is not getting space to move nor is Borna.

We need to go up a gear and close them down quicker, they are getting far too much space.

Another thing that pisses me off, is us turning back too often.

0-0 is a good result at HT considering the stats.
We have barely had a shot on target.
 
Morelos and Aribo have been very poor in a dire first half.
Morelos looks slow and Aribo not match fit and lightweight.
 
Hagi and Itten on in the second half we need more hunger from this team

We look like a team that is happy to play for a draw and looking to not lose really angry about that
 
Very poor first half. Our touch and passing has been woeful, and they're winning most of the 50-50 balls. Really need to up our game in the 2nd half.
 
Appalling first half by our standards.Get the finger out lads.Second half simply can’t be as poor as the first.Time for the back room staff to start earning their corn and get it sorted.

Our defending at our own 18 yard box has been poor .
Their high press if forcing us to pass it back to our keeper and we are more often than not loosing the ball after that .
Passing has been poor , not winning the second ball .
Can only hope we improve in the second half.
Need more from Davis and Aribo
 
Where has that come from? There's no point slagging individual players. We've clearly been told to invite them onto us and it's just not working for the players who want bit of time on the ball. Aribo is always less effective in the middle 3 so I feel for him but we desperately need more bite in the middle of the park.

Trouble is, where does that come from? Haven't seen enough of Zungu to know if he can offer that. Big decisions from Gerrard.
 
Midfield is being overrun. Changes needed. The one good aspect from the first half is the score. Shagger is a star and we have not laid a glove on their keeper.
 
Very much like our last few games where our form has dropped. Obviously the tims are doing better than any of the other teams we’ve come up against recently.
 
Half time 0-0 and still 16 points clear. We won't be this poor second half and for all chances they've had they haven't scored. Well can only be better after the break, we're winning this.
 
Ok- time to regroup.

First issue to address has to be lack of physicality in midfield. Zungu on for Aribo please.

Need to get ball forward earlier and move the game into their half. Stop the extra touches around our penalty area bringing problems on top of ourselves.

Mentally need to forget the occasion and play the game.
 
Offffft. Second best everwhere we don't seem to have the energy to be in the second ball or the ideas to go forward .

When we get the ball it's going backwards to often . Don't think this can/will continue second half time for a few of our guys to step up
 
Shocking half of football and somehow level. A majority of the squad look feared of the moment and what a win would do. Their defence and keeper are absolute pish and we don't have anyone who wants to actually drive at them and put them under pressure when they get the ball, just quick passing hoping someone else might fancy it. Easiest game they have had in a while

Not a worse player on the pitch than Aribo, playing like an absolute shitebag, he's a big quick lad who's really good with the ball in tight areas and he's getting rid of the ball the second he gets a touch of it. Would rather throw Hagi out there out of position than let him back out on the pitch for the 2nd half.

70 yards up the park. Roofe to Tav to Davis to Kamara to Barisic to Balogun to Goldson to McGregor, punt 70 yards up the park, rinse, repeat. Been a hard, hard watch. Showing them waaaaay too much respect here.
 
That's the most one sided 0-0 you'll see for a while. Everything we're good at is missing - why are we just sitting off them and not pressing at all?

Sitting off them means that we can't expose the weakness down the wings in the system they are playing. They have an awful defence and a dodgy keeper, and yet we haven't pressed them or put them under any pressure. Playing into their manky hands if it doesn't change after half time.
 
This has been absolutely abysmal. We are genuinely lucky not to be a goal down.

If Gerrard doesn't sort this out soon, we will be lucky to get even a point out of the game.

They look so much more up for this than us. I mean Morelos was getting outjumped by bloody Frimpong and bitched by Bitton and Ajer.
 
Something needs to change tactically in the 2nd half we are being overrun in midfielder and our main striker is doing his best work inside his own half.

Get another midfielder on tighten things up.
